• The staff was very good.
• No hot tub, and everything cost extra and is expensive.

“This is a good hotel if you are a business traveler with an expense account and just want a quiet place to sleep. If you are looking for a weekend get away with a few pleasant surprises in amenities or free services, go somewhere else,
or bring a cooler, snacks, and something to entertain yourself.”

• Beautiful facility, great location, upgraded our room because it was our anniversary.
• No free high-speed internet - cost $9.95/day - very disappointing.

“Hotel was great - staff was wonderful sometimes and less than helpful other times, room was comfortable and conducive to relaxing - we would stay here again, definitely!”

• The two room suite with a door that closed to separate the rooms.
• Pool had too much chlorine and didn't have a hot tub.

“I'm not sure it should be rated as a 3.5 star hotel - but it was nice and I would go back. The staff was very friendly and the lobby had a great waterfall and free internet computers available. Also a nice business center was available.”

• Clean, upscale without acting exclusive.
• Had to pay for wireless (archaic).

“It was what I expected from a 3.5 start hotel. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Except for paying for internet, there were no negatives about this stay.”

• Nice staff and clean accommodations.
• Slow internet service.

“Beautiful hotel. Great location, quiet, clean. The only complaint that I have was that the two lobby computers were extremely slow! I overheard several guests complaining about the speed and availability. Over-all great stay!”

• Breakfast is really good and beds are very comfortable.
• 1. Sending me to a room that is already occupied. 2. Having to lift the tub drain myself to shower!

• Very quiet in room, friendly staff and close to shopping.

“This hotel has a great location for all Des Moines area attractions. Beautiful lobby, with a five story waterfall, nice lounge and restaurant. They offer computers for public use and ice and pop machines on each floor. There is a lounge on the tenth floor. Glass elevators allow you to enjoy your ride to each floor. Open air lobby allows you to view the restaurant from any floor, looking up or down ten floors. Very quiet in the rooms. Can't even hear your own toilet flush. Large rooms. The only thing bad I can say about the room we had, was that it was a non-smoking room, but it had been smoked in and the staff could not get the smell out of the room.”

• The pool was so small and was very crowed and no hot tub.

“The beds were small but, OK. The hotel was very quiet which surprised us with how many kids were there. Junior Olympics was taking place there. The pool was very small and no hot tub.”

• The beds were not firm enough for us but otherwise everything was awesome.

• Nicely appointed rooms and ample workout equipment in the fitness areas.
• I was unaware the lounge/restaurant were closed for remodeling.

“The open interior with waterfall of several stories and glass elevators are a nice touch. The front desk, housekeeping, and room service staff was very personable and helpful. Room decor was tasteful and simply elegant as well as comfortable.”

• Quiet rooms, and nice beds.
• No refrigerator, small pool, and expensive food.

“This hotel was everything that we needed, good sleeping facilities, and pool for the kids. The food was expensive, so we ate out. There were plenty of restaurants close by to choose from. It would have been nice to have a kids eat free with paying adults for the breakfast buffet.”
