“Very quick and easy check in. Room was very clean and air conditioning worked well. Staff was friendly. Excellent free wireless access. Only negatives were with the door keys. At check in the hotel clerk was a little confused at what my room number was. He told me one room number and then processed the door keys and then changed it to a different room. One key worked. One did not. After it was resolved, the same day after shopping neither key worked again. The problem was resolved quickly. The next day after leaving and coming back, both keys did not work again. Both keys should work at check in and until the guest leaves. An unnecessary inconvenience. Great budget hotel for the price. Bad up keeping. The walls had a lot of cracking appearing for what looked like years. I did not try the continental breakfast, but the guests spoke highly of it. The outdoor pool is small, but a safer one for young kids. I would come here again as long as it is not for more than a 1 or 2 day trip.”

“The hotel was convenient, but lacking in every other aspect. The room was too small for a family to move about. The breakfast was too plain for a stay of more than one night. It was also not managed well. The pool needed some attention. Overall, I would not stay in this hotel again.”

“Hotel staff was friendly and efficient. More than 1 person should be at service counter, as I had to wait 10-15 minutes because person behind counter was taking a reservation over the phone. After a 10 1/2 hour drive.”

“The hotel was clean, tidy, no smells, had a nice clean bathroom, good carpet. Great breakfast, waffles, cereal, bagels, juices, coffee. There were several restaurants within walking distance and some shopping. Very easy to find off the interstate.”

“I was not happy that on both sides of us and upstairs there were young people that know each other up partying all night. They were constantly walking around I don't now what they were doing all this walking for, that's why I figured they must be on drugs. We could hear them knocking on each others doors, etc. At 1:37 am after finally falling asleep they started knocking on our wall repeatedly like they thought their friend was in our room. Then they rang our telephone asking for Thomas and then hung up without apologizing. They were still walking around upstairs at this time too. The next morning after my children and I had breakfast. One of the young men came out of his room and I thought he was going to vomit right in font of us. There would never be a good time to see or hear that. I will not take a chance with this hotel again just in case this is something that frequently goes on.”

“Hard beds, sloping floor in the third floor room, under construction, funny smell, outdated decor, and the continental breakfast consisted of primarily stale, hard, items. The waffle iron did not work properly and the dough was greasy and thin.”

“This hotel was okay except for the fact that they evidently do not routinely change the batteries in the smoke detectors. It started beeping right as we were going to bed. My husband had to get dressed and go to the lobby for a battery and install it himself.”

“Having a king size bed is great. Having a king size bed with a full size blanket is not. Instead of enjoying the space we had to huddle in the middle or risk cooled off extremities. The breakfast was free but they ran out of waffle batter, didn't have any syrup left and only a couple sorry looking bagels were in the case. Nobody seemed to care either.”

“We went to des Moines to spend the night because my son was running the marathon the next day. They were going to charge me an extra $20 to check out late if we came back to the room after the marathon to shower and pack our bags. So we did not do that then some friends were staying in another hotel chain and they let them have a late check out for free.”

“The hotel was in a good location, was easy to find, and there were restaurants nearby. The mattresses and pillows were really thin and there werent enough towels in the room. For one night it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't stay longer, especially for the cost.”

“The staff overbooked the hotel so we had to wait a half hour to even get to the room. The staff had little or no knowledge of the area. They gave us wrong directions not only once but twice.”

“Our room was dark and the air conditioner was not powerful enough to cool our room. The carpet was so disgusting I had to wear my shoes. The bathtub was dirty. There was an ammonia smell lingering in the room when we arrived.”
