• I made an offer and it should have been accepted for the quality of the room and there were rooms open that night!

• Smelled like smoke, old fashion decor, air conditioner did not work, etc.

• The beds were miserably uncomfortable. Like sleeping on a rock!

• Close to the Civic Center.
• Marginal room service.

“On arrival, the hotel clerk suggested that I not use an online booking service as these booking methods get less desirable rooms. Room service was not as expected. The toilet was not clean when I arrived. Room service took used/open soaps etc out each day, but didn't replace taken items with new ones. On day two, they even left a used wash cloth in the tub and a used towel on the tub. I got what I paid for, an around average room for an around average price.”

• The first night I was given a shabby smoking room and I was not happy. The next two nights I had a lovely suite but I had to assert myself.

• it offered a place to sleep and shower and that is all we needed. Nice pool area but small.
• First put in a very smelly smoky room but they promptly changed it when requested.

“The breakfast was scant, but adequate. Room was clean. Nice pool and hot tub. Just an average standard room.”

• Clean/renovated/location/affordable.
• Nothing really.

“My second stay. Hotel has been extensively renovated. Very clean, well lit. Affordable. Sound proof rooms. Staff is friendly. Kids loved the pool. Very convenient location (5 minutes to down town). Adjacent restaurant serves good food at very affordable prices. Do book early; past couple of times I went to St. clouds they were booked over the weekends.”

• Luke was very friendly and accommodating.
• The hallways and lobby were disgustingly dirty and way too hot!

“Due to the lack of cleanliness in the lobby and halls and the poor continental breakfast I will not stay at this hotel again.”

• The staff was very friendly.
• A door going to the outside; our electricity went out in our room only.

“Also, the towels were green. Does this mean they are not bleached? Our electricity also went out. We had two hairdryers, a TV and a curling iron plugged in. I don't think this should have happened. They were very quick to remedy this, but it seemed strange to have that happen at a hotel.”

• The pool area and the outside of the hotel needs a little bit of updating.

• This hotel had a continental breakfast in the morning.
• Light green towels, air conditioner did not work, and train whistles blowing many times during night.

“We realized at 10:00 pm that our air conditioner was not working, we called the front desk and were told to turn another button and still did not work. Luckily it wasn't too hot outside, so we opened the window. Unfortunately we felt like we were right next to the railroad tracks all night as there were trains passing through and blowing their whistle many (around 7) times during our nights sleep.”

• It had a green mill restaurant connected to it.
• Having to have a basement level room.

“For starters I did not stay in the best western Americana inn. When I arrived they told me that they were overbooked and did not have a room for me. The young man sent me to their other best western, which was nicer. But it was an inconvenience since I had my tired and hungry three years old with me. This room was clean, but it was in the basement of the hotel, I didn't like that at all. The hotel had a green mill connected so that was nice. The pool was average, but it worked for the time we were there. I'm not sure I would stay there again. Maybe, as long as I didn't have a lower level room.”

“My past experiences (due to past employees) were not that great, but this time it was nice to meet and enthusiastic and friendly manager. She did her best to accommodate my needs without any reservations. There was also a new employee that served with a friendly smile! Super service this time. Gained back my confidence in this hotel.”
