• The bed was so comfortable and clean feeling.
• I did not like the charge for in room WiFi. I missed the small fridge you usually find in a hotel room. The plumbing in the tub was in need of attend.

“The staff was excellent. The common areas were beautiful. The room was standard, although the bed was outstanding. There was a charge for in room WiFi. There was a charge for parking. Breakfast was 15.00/person for a wonderful buffet.”

• Very pretty and very close to Country Club Plaza.
• Very uncomfortable beds!

• The staff was wonderful! From the staff at the front desk to the courtesy van driver, everyone made us feel welcome and appreciated.
• The room was not that sound proof. We could hear a group of kids a few rooms down from us.

“Before arrival, I called to see if I could check in early and to see if I could get a room with a plaza view. The front desk staff accommodated my requests and had everything ready when I arrived. Upon arrival, I was made to feel that my patronage was appreciated. Everyone greeted me and thanked me for being a guest of the hotel (even the maintenance worker exiting the elevator!). The staff was professional and courteous; they provided an area map and restaurant recommendations. The hotel is within walking distance to the plaza, but is on a hill - walking might not be a good idea if you aren't in the best shape. The hotel courtesy van to the plaza was a lifesaver due to the frigid temperatures; the van was prompt and the drivers were pleasant. The room was updated and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in. The only negative was that we could hear our neighbors, but luckily I had my earplugs. The excellent staff and wonderful bed made up for any minor issues.”

• The free shuttle service to the plaza.
• The lobby had a sewer gas like smell.

“Hotel and Room were very nice and clean. Employees very accommodating. We had wished we were a slight bit closer on the Plaza but had the weather been nicer that really wouldnt have mattered. It would be nice if the shuttle on week nights to the Plaza went a little later.”

• Clean rooms, friendly staff, near the Plaza.
• Not the best place to take children. Pool is a lap pool.

“Overall the hotel was nice. Clean rooms, easy check in, maid service was great. I stayed at the hotel with my wife and 2 boys (5 and 7). The amenities were not geared towards families. Not really a child friendly menu in the restaurant and the lap pool was not made for kids. No shallow end. I assume it would be a great location for the business person.”

• Fresh fruit at check in desk.
• Pool dirty, shower not draining.

“I did not like this hotel at all and would not stay at it again, When I went into the pool it was dirty, after swimming away I took a shower and the drain would not drain, our room sink made a loud noise, and even after they said they fixed it still did not work, not enough towels in the room or wash clothes, Just a very bad stay for me. And I would not stay there ever again.”

• Crumbs in sofa bed, had to call for housekeeping and maintenance 3 different times.

• Need microwave & refrigerator in room.

“Excellent location, walking distance to walking path, shopping, & restaurants, only ordered room service, food was excellent, room was clean and had no odors, staff was friendly & helpful, rooms could use microwave & refrigerator, pool was cloudy, hot tub was not hot enough and bubbled up too high, more channels would be good also.”

• Double beds are too small for two people, u need 2 queen beds.

“Nice, clean room, good breakfast at restaurant. Just need larger queen beds instead of two doubles.”

• The beds were amazing!
• The hot tub was dirty but that's the only thing that wasn't nice.

“Love it, very nice with a shuttle that took us straight to the nearby attractions! All the staff was very nice and helpful!”

• We really enjoyed the free shuttle service to the Plaza.
• You had to pay for parking in the hotel's parking garage.

“Overall, we had a very nice stay at this hotel. I was caught very off guard when we received our bill and found out we as guests of the hotel still had to pay a fee for parking in the hotel's garage. To me, I feel this is a ridiculous charge when you are already paying for your stay at the hotel. This was the only thing that truly upset us about our stay.”

• The hotels location is so close to the Plaza- just a short walk. It is also very close to two art museums.

“This hotel is our favorite. It is beautifully decorated and the rooms are large and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and the location can't be beat. The swimming pool and fitness area are very nice.”

• Under renovation - no gift shop to pick up bottle of water.

“Great location. Will be very nice when renovations are complete. Had breakfast on Saturday morning in dining room - chose buffet. Enjoyed outstanding cook to order omelet.”

• Room square area could have been bigger.

• The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
• The pool had a light floating in the water.

“Hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. Only a couple of things that I would say reflect a negative would be the light floating in the pool and our room key did not work and I had to go down to the front desk 3 different times before they finally sent someone up to reprogram our code on the door (this took approximately 1/2 an hour, which made us late for our dinner reservations).”

“Room was dirty, dust so thick that you could write in it (someone wrote "dust me" on the table), dead bugs on the bed, drywall on the floor and the bathroom was filthy. It took them 45+ minutes to get a manager up to the room and then was downgraded to a smaller (but clean) room.”

• Nickel & dime add-ons.

“Parking is not free, wireless access is almost $10; a bottled water is $4.50. No continental breakfast. The next door smoke alarm went off and was annoying. When we returned 4 hours later it was not fixed however when we reported it someone addressed problem immediately. We assumed the room was occupied-maybe it wasn't. Very impressed with staff friendliness and cleanliness of rooms (something rare at KC Plaza area hotels).”
