• Great front desk staff.
• There was a bug in the bathroom.

“The front desk staff was the best I've ever had, and the room was comfortable and clean. I would have liked a few more amenities like dish soap in the kitchen, and shampoo in the bath room, a business center and continental breakfast would have been nice (you had to pay for wireless internet). over all it was great if you don't need these extras.”

• Location to the Plaza and Power and Light District.
• We seemed to be in a well traveled hallway. But we were right next to the door.

“Would be an excellent place for someone on an extended stay with kids and not wanting to eat out every night. All the pots, pans, and dishes were provided. cook them up.”

• No breakfast, single bed, on busy street.

“Very close to everything on the plaza, within walking distance from museums. Have kitchenette if you prefer to bring your own food, but the room is small, with single bed and will not accommodate a family.”

• The close proximity to the plaza and Westport.
• Lack of a swimming pool.

“Great place conveniently located to many KC attractions including the plaza, Westport, the Nelson Atkins art museum, etc. very comfortable rooms with a kitchen! We would definitely stay here again.”

• Close to downtown attractions.
• On the edge of a questionable neighborhood.

“Liked the motel. Close to all of the downtown attractions. Central located for our needs. Was told not to walk too far from the motel after dark. Had a parking lot security guard. Very helpful and friendly maid service and front desk. Would stay there again.”

• In walking distance of the Plaza.
• A little mold was on the shower curtain.

“The room was very clean and smelled good. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking, cold A/C, and in walking distance of the plaza. There was a little mold on the base of the shower curtain, but other than that, everything was great.”

• Staff was friendly and allowed us late checkout so we could attend church.
• They did not have an ice machine in the hotel.

“Great location within walking distance of art museum, the plaza, several churches, and restaurants. Room looked newly remodeled and had a small completely furnished kitchen. Staff was friendly and helpful allowing us a late check-out so we could come back after church to change clothes.”

• Nice location - within walking distance of the Plaza.
• No swimming pool.

“Nice, comfortable, and convenient location. Nothing fancy - extended stay hotel - so it doesn't have any amenities like swimming pool, restaurant, etc. But perfect if you just need a place to sleep.”

• Rooms are not suites, they are simply regular size hotel rooms with kitchen extras crammed into the one room.

“Would never stay here again. No extra space to live at all. Hotel said that this location does not have any bigger rooms. These are only the room we provided. No maid service for the entire 6 days.”

• Staff was excellent and incredibly helpful and courteous. Amenities fantastic, location excellent.
• Just a bit more sound-proofing would be nice.

“From the moment I arrived until the time I left, the hotel served as my home away from home. The location was fantastic and Country Club Plaza just across the park. Having the museums only a short walk away was an added bonus and served as a nice afternoon diversion. Great value.”

• The hotel was an extended stay hotel. So we had a kitchen to fix/microwave things in.
• They didn't provide shampoo! Then, they wanted to charge $2 for a 1 shower supply!

“The hotel wasn't amazing. An extended stay it had more of an apartment complex feel. The desk staff went home at night. The cleaning people only clean once a week. There was no restaurant (but steps from the Plaza so why would you want one?) and almost no common areas. However the hotel did feature washing machines, kitchenettes in the rooms, limited dishes and cookware, and cable TV. Also it wasn't the cleanest. There was no water pressure in the shower and by the end of our 2 night stay our toilet no longer flushed.”

“The building is conveniently located and looks nice on the outside. The room looked as though no one had checked it prior to our arrival after it had sat unoccupied for a very long time - as well as the musty smell, three of the five lamps were not working. The desk had no shampoo both nights I was there.”

• The kitchen was nice to have in case I wanted to use it.
• Broken remote, loud, cleaning service started before 8 AM so much not to like.

“This was a horrible experience. From the broken remote that was never fixed, to the hotel cleaning service stating that they don't clean in stays less than 7 days. My stay was less, and yet they kept trying to get into the room. If you aren't going to clean, why are you trying to get into the room? Does vacuuming of the hallways have to start before 8 AM? Poor experience to say the least.”

• Very convenient location. Very short, easy walk to Plaza with dining and shopping. Also an easy drive to many other parts of the city.
• Kitchen area right near bed- which is typical for extended stay types hotel.

“Good for the price. Very convenient location. Does the trick if you're looking for somewhere just to sleep, shower, and keep luggage while you're out and about. Not a hotel for relaxation or romance. Since it's extended stay designed there's no regular staff on or housekeeping always around- good or bad thing depending on your preferences.”

• Not knowing was being remodeled.

“Friendly staff, clean rooms, & great location for our needs. Was disappointed not knowing hotel was being remodeled. Carpet being pulled up in hallway early morning. Created issues trying to walk in hallway and created allot of dust that affected family member will allergies. Originally had tried to stay another night there but was glad ended up at another hotel for the 2nd day!”
