• Room comfort was nice enough.
• Mattress was terrible. AC was loud even on low.

“Found a hair on a pillow when we got into the room. The mattress was a cheap or old mattress with a foam pad. My wife and I could feel each others every movement in the king size bed. My spouse could feel it when I scratched my nose. Other than the hair on the pillow and the mattress quality, and the AC being extremely loud, it was nice.”

• The water pressure in the shower.
• The rooms were not described accurately, the amenities described were not available to us.

“The beds were described to me over the phone as queen size but they were actually full size. We were two adults and 2 children and were extremely cramped and uncomfortable. When i asked if i could add a connecting room, I was told that the room connected to us was sold. Why couldn't they put us in different rooms? No one was very accomodating. We were literally flooded with water during a rain storm one evening during our stay. My daughter, who was in a crib by the window was drenched during the night. The only response to this was, "I will let maintenance know". Any time that i spoke with the front desk about certain amenities that should have been available. ie. free breakfast for the children, etc. The in room coffee was never refilled when the room had its daily cleaning, and the cleaning was not that thorough. We were definately not impressed or comfortable.”

• The rooms were comfortable and clean. Nice bedding.
• The carpets in the hallways were very stained.

“The rooms were comfortable, the staff was incredibly friendly. The hotel was in need of updating, but was very sufficient for the night we were there.”

• Rich looking.
• Very loud pipe rattling that woke us at 3 a.m.

“I loved the well-equipped exercise room, although the hotel staff did not know where to locate ear phones for the treadmill's TV. Rust, messy carpet in spots, broken pool edging, dusty lamps, bed that really hurt my back and very loud rattling pipes were minuses. Generally a rich looking hotel (if you do not look too closely.) Wish breakfast were included. Staff was friendly.”

• Location! Easily accessible to and from where we wanted to go.
• Kind of dumpy not terribly clean or well-maintained.

“This property needs some TLC and a bit of a financial infusion. It feels very 80's and seems to be coasting by since that time period. Clearly took over a previous company at this location as there is nothing that made you feel like it was one of their properties except the exterior sign. A bit rundown and in need of some repair exterior doors that were to be accessed by room key card were always propped or stuck open, for one example. The staff, while moderately courteous, did not really give the impression that they cared or even wanted to be there. The one thing this property has going for it, though, is its location easy access to US 69 and I-35 made it super convenient to get to anywhere we wanted to be on the Kansas side of the suburbs.”

• Staff opened door to clean before we were out of bed - room was not cleaned until after 3.

• The location was nice and the staff was very helpful.
• The bathroom wasn't as nice as we had hoped for a Holiday Inn.

“The hotel was nice, rooms were nice but the tub/shower was not in the best shape and needed to be replaced. I was staying after a late flight and it was great for my needs, but I probably would not stay here for a long trip just because the bathrooms were not as clean as we had hoped.”

• Great massaging shower heads and the synthetic down comforters and mattress pads on the bed were a nice touch.
• Rooms were a little small.

• Location was easily accessible.
• Needed renovation, some of the staff was rude, not a great layout, noisy.

“This hotel turned out to be a pretty big disappointment. Although the location was fairly convenient, there was significant highway noise in our room. The soundproofing in the walls was not the best either. There were awkward "external" stairwells that are intended for fire escape purposes, but no internal stairwells near the side entrances. You had to use the elevators at the center of the building.”

“We stayed at this hotel in 2005, and it was a nice place at that time. However, it seems that the property has not been well maintained. The rooms and public spaces look worn and trampled. There was no hot water available for showers in the evening or the following morning. The air conditioning unit was not working properly and flipped on and off all night. Overall not a good stay.”

• Everything worked! Clean, convenient.
• Pool did not open until late morning; we wanted to swim at 7 am.
