• The staff was friendly and the beds were comfortable. The price fit into our price range.
• The elevators were extremely slow, due to several youth groups were staying there.

• Price was good. Room was decent size.
• Much road construction around hotel made access very poor this stay.

“This hotel often has weddings, and other functions going on, this time it was an art show taking up most of the lobby area.”

• The recent remodeling gave an appearance above 2 1/2. Convenient location.
• A little bit of road construction resulted in a detour, which is a necessary inconvenience at times.

“Relaxing, restful made for a nice overnight stay. Conveniently located next to I-35 we were able quickly able to drive over to KCMO to attend the theatre. Only 30 minutes away. Overall our stay exceeded expectations. The recent remodeling left a positive impression.”

• Quick check in and the staff was very friendly. Clean rooms.
• The hotel was not the problem, just construction all over the area made it hard to get to.

• Cleanliness, the helpful staff, the bartenders were superb.
• We stayed on the side close to the highway and there was a lot of highway noise in the room.

“The hotel was a great value for the price I paid. The hotel room was clean, and cheerful. We ate at the hotel restaurant both evenings we were there. The food was good and the service at the bar was over the top. We had two different bar tenders and they were both very helpful with meal choices and things to do around town. It was a little difficult to get to because of road construction and the only thing that I did not like about the hotel was all noise that filtered into the room from the highway. Next time I will ask for a room on the side away from the highway.”

• Great location and easy access from I-435 or Hwy 69.
• Rooms could have been cleaner, windows.

“Nice hotel, easy to get to, other than the road construction. Nice restaurant on the premises. Parking very convenient. I didn't feel it was as clean as it should have been. Drinking glasses were not replaced with clean glasses in am, towels left on floor and windows were dirty.”

• The beds were very comfortable.
• Can't think of anything.

“I was in Kansas City for a hockey tournament. I needed 2 beds and a non-smoking room. The hotel was willing to provide both. The room was clean and comfortable. It was also quite which I appreciate. My room was not ready the first time I stopped by the hotel. When I returned my reservation was upgraded.”

• It was close to the highway.
• The pool was not open when it was supposed to be.

“This was an okay hotel, seemed a little worn and worse for the wear. The indoor pool was not really indoor, which led to disappointment for my children who were dying to swim.”

• Central location and close to shopping.
• Scuffed and worn. Needs repair and remodeling.

“I could have stayed in a LaQuinta which had a free Continental Breakfast and a motel that is in much nicer condition. Decor was 70's browns with large floral patterns in the carpet. Did someone think that shining a huge mercury vapor light on the front of the building would allow us to sleep better? Keep a movin' Dan, don't ya listen to the man.”

“Dirty and stinky, will not go back. It was so load, rap music till 2 A.M. with the thumping from a DJ, then house keeping was pounding on the door at 8 A.M. Sucked, will never stay there again.”

• Decor was very nice. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
• Phone would not work for local calls. Staff gave me a ticket for a free drink but did not tell me where the ticket could be used.

“Hotel is located next to a major highway but construction in the area make it difficult to get to. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Hotel evidently has a bar and restaurant but the check in desk did not provide information about either of these. Instructions were given about the closest door to enter the building. Rooms very nice and appointed appropriately. Bathrooms have sink in the bathroom instead of outside, therefore only one person can get ready at a time. ”

• Location to highway and access to city.

“Peeling paint and wallpaper in bath, shower and hotel room, even though hotel was renovated in the last 5 years, it appears our room missed the update. Paper thin walls, there was a group of hockey players staying on our floor and we heard them all night long. Restaurant, the service was so bad, after 40 minutes we still had not been served the drinks we ordered. We left, complained to the hotel manager and went elsewhere. The next morning, we attempted to do breakfast at the hotel restaurant as we believe in 2nd chances. We were the only people in the entire restaurant and 20 minutes after we'd placed our order, again, no drinks and no breakfast, we left and checked out of the hotel. This was a terrible experience.”

“We were satisfied with our stay but the construction in the area was an inconvenience. In the past we have stayed on Metcalf or college avenue, and those locations were much more convenient.”

• Staff really enjoy themselves and make it a welcoming visit.
• Old fashioned, little dark and gloomy.

“Good for business, convenient location with excellent staff who make you feel welcome. Special meal and drink deals mid week make up for the lower quality food and old fashioned decor. If you need a convenient place to stay whilst in West KC, this is as good as any.”
