• The room and public areas were much higher class than I expected.
• The bedspread was just a bit scratchy.

• The most comfortable bed for a hotel and exceptional staff.
• Smokers hanging around the front door.

“The warm friendly greeting and exceptional helpfulness of the desk staff dispelled initial misgivings brought on by the lounging smokers at the front door. The decor was nicely upscale and clean. The room was quiet and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. It was convenient to our travel and visit. We would definitely recommend it and stay there again.”

• No hot tub.

“Excellent place to stay. I would stay again in a Heartbeat. The breakfast served the best fruit I've tasted in years. The rooms were very tastefully decorated and spacious. Great place.”

• Not very sound proof & TV functions are inadequate.

“Very nice hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and easy to get in and out. The TV controls do not suit me since the sleep timer function is disabled due to the system in place.”

• I liked the king-sized bed.
• There was nothing I did not like.

“I found the personnel to be friendly and helpful. My room was clean and well-stocked with the things I would need. I ate breakfast in the restaurant, and found it to be very tasty and cooked to my specifications.”

• I liked the new decor in the rooms and LOVED the mattresses!
• The fire alarm went off in our room every five minutes one morning due to some construction. Very annoying!

“I loved our room and the restaurant. The front desk staff were not overly friendly. The cleaning staff were not very thorough. The coffee maker was not restocked in our room and cleaning cloths were left on the desk.”

• Brightly lit hallways, attractive, tasteful interior decor, and courteous, professional, friendly staff.
• Room key locks on outside access doors were disabled in several locations. Noticeable thermal drafts by desk near the windows.

“This hotel provided me a warm, welcoming haven from a winter storm. The amenities were above my expectations, and the staff members I met were attentive & courteous. I will definitely be staying here in the future when in Olathe, but I do hope they address the outside entry access control issue I and others have encountered.”

• For the price, it was a good hotel. I liked the hair dryer that was provided & coffee pot with coffee.
• I did not like the bathroom.

“The room was attractive. Our reservation was during a remodeling phase, so it was a little inconvenient in parking. The pool, spa and rec room were not available. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful.”

• Still under construction and did not know it at the time of booking.

“Although the hotel is still under construction, the rooms were beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. We would stay there again.”

• I liked the updated décor.
• The AC was noisy & bathroom counter was crowed b/c of the coffee maker.

“Hotel is undergoing extensive remodeling so that had a lot to do with my negative critique. One thing that bothered me was that the exterior doors were accessible by anyone at all hours. They had room key locks on them but they did not work. Also, our air conditioner was really noisy, had a clicking sound to it that kept me up for quite awhile. The decor is nice, really modern. Staff was accommodating when I requested a beverage even though the restaurant was closed and under construction. They should offer a breakfast bar while the restaurant is being remodeled.”

• When we arrived in room there was a great puddle of water in bathroom and dripping from ceiling.

“The hotel staff did not seem to care about our dripping/water problem. I could not use my hair dryer because of dripping/water.”

• Remodeled rooms are very nice. Hotel room was quiet! Staff was helpful.
• Construction work in lobby/restaurant area - but likely worth the mess.

“The guest rooms have already been upgraded and our room was quiet, roomy and the bed was comfortable. We were there to be with family in nearby hospital and this was the ideal location. The staff upon arrival and throughout our 3 night stay was helpful and friendly. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant, but the menu seemed to focus on local specialties of various fried foods.”

• Difficult to get to temporary lobby during remodel.

“Great room-comfortable bed and newer bathroom fixtures, beds, and bedding. Cute decor. They are remodeling now, and it's a little difficult to get checked-in/out because front desk is in the middle of the hallway. During our stay, the power went out, and the exit doors were locked due to power outage-not good for an emergency. During my check-out, the power was out, and we had to walk in pitch black hallways, carrying our entire luggage, to get to the front desk. The rooms were great, and people friendly, except for black-out, (which was no fault of the hotel) it was a good experience.”
