• Carpets needed replacing, paint job sloppy.

• Very clean. Staff was friendly. Beds comfortable.
• No balcony in the room I was in and no ocean view. Bad internet connection.

“Would recommend this hotel to friends. I was under the impression that all rooms had a balcony, but they don't so check and see if that is important to you. The facilities and accommodations were good. The internet connection was bad and at times not accessible.”

• The free breakfast was so crowded, you could hardly get a your meal.

“The location of the hotel is on the Seawall down the street from the noisier activities. We walked across the street to the beach and had a wonderful time. The room has a balcony from which you can see the ocean. Since it is so hot, it was wonderful to have a parking garage to keep the car relatively cool. Also, this hotel is within 5 minutes from Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn and excellent restaurants. For breakfast, either go very early or very late. It's a crowded place from about 8-9:30. We'll be coming back.”

• Nice to have the breakfast buffet and the pool was small but nice.
• Long lines for the waffle iron.

“We liked this hotel. Location is out of the way from downtown Galveston which means that you avoid much of the crowds. Beach access is across Seawall BLVD but that's true for this whole area.”

• There was nothing positive about our stay there.
• The staff was very rude. The hallways were dirty. There were roaches in the room.

“There was construction about 30 yards from the room and there was constant very loud noise from this. There were dogs everywhere and many were much larger than the 25 pound limit.”

“Great price, new La Quintal, 2star bedding, amenities in rooms. But I will take that because each room comes with a fridge and microwave. Really great value!”

• Right by the ocean, all rooms had views, allowed small pets, very clean, quiet. microwave, small fridge for snacks.
• Breakfast was fair but reasonable since it was complimentary. Texas shaped waffles was cool.

“Hotel very clean and neat and new looking. Right by the ocean off of Seawall Blvd. They allowed small pets which was a nice surprise. The rooms were clean, newly tiled bathrooms, slightly larger tub/shower, great balcony view of the ocean. Were also surprised to find a small microwave and small fridge - great for snacks. Expensive hotels don't even have that. The 3rd floor smelled clean and fresh. We accidentally got off on the 2nd floor and smelled cigarette smoke in the hallway. Glad we weren't booked there. Also it was very quiet but we arrived on a Sunday night, early May so I can't vouch for the weekend or summer crowd. Access to the covered garage was very convenient. Staff was helpful and very nice. Free Breakfast was cool. Fresh Texas-shaped waffles. The rest was regular continental fare. They had hard-boiled eggs which I actually liked. Very European. We are definitely going back. Wait in other words, I don't think we want our secret out. So never mind.”

• The was very clean, and breakfast was good.
• The location was not very good. It was far away from everything we wanted to see.

“The room was clean. It had a nice size bathroom, microwave and refrigerator. They offered breakfast. Everything from coffee to fresh waffles. For the price it was well worth it. However, it is about a 20-30 min. drive to The Strand area. On a map it does not look like it will take that long, but with all the traffic and the lights it takes a while.”

• Super location, quiet, and romantic. Great parking area.
• Doorlatch on room 326 doesn't open easily.

“This hotel is located at the west end of the island in a secluded area of the beach. The view from the hotel is fabulous and the facilities are clean and well cared for.”

• Complimentary breakfast.
• The
  roach in the refrigerator/microwave area and the suite did not have seperate private bedroom.

“The room was nice for the price. I expected it to be more extravagant being that it was an Inn/Suite. We have stayed at other inns where the suites had private/seperate bedrooms from the living area, which is a plus with small children.”

• The staff was excellent and very helpfull.
• No swimmable beach access, had to drive 2.5 miles to enjoy the beach.

“Great place and very clean and friendly with a great breakfast, if it were across the near and accessible beach for swimming and sunning, it would be one of the best in Galveston.”

• The spacious room of the suite.
• The hotel staff and their accommodations for their customers.

“It seemed fine in the beginning, then everything slowly became apparent to not work in our room. Such as, the refrigerator, TV, and other things. Then when we made the staff aware of this it took them days as well as many phone calls and visits from us to come and attempt to make better.”

• It was clean, new and convient to my destination.
• The view from my Oceanview window was not appealing.

“The hotel is relatively new. The room was spacious and comfy. There wasn't a great view from the balcony as the side of the hotel I was on looked on the yards of the neighboring homes, complete with laundry on clotheslines. You had to stick your neck out and peer around the hotel to see the ocean. All in all, I would definatley stay there again.”

• Balcony gives the room an open spacious feeling.

“We got 2 rooms before a family cruise. Check-in and check-out was super easy. The rooms are clean and spacious and the balconies have an ocean view. There is a wonderful delivery service in Galveston that delivers food from approx 20 different restaurants, so once you arrive you don't have to go out again. The covered parking and shuttle are an excellent amenity for the $10.00 fee. This was a very pleasant experience.”

• Liked the location, and amenities of a new property.
• Breakfast served only until 9 am, not too pet friendly.

“Great new property with excellent location right on the Seawall. Some rooms have balconies that look out to the beach. We stayed in the Jacuzzi room (1st floor) and found it very romantic for two nights. Next time, I'd prefer an upper level room for the view. Rates were reasonable, staff efficient. ”
