  • Breakfast was not as expected.

“Was not pleased with the continental breakfast, it only consisted of bagels and dry cereal. Most other hotels have fruit, eggs, gravy, waffles, cereal, donuts, etc. We had to go to a cafe and spend $30.00 for breakfast.”

  • Available at descent price.
  • Complimentary breakfast hard to get to; one at a time; lobby too small; lost and found problems.

“Manager of the day unable to locate lost and found items; will have to wait until the weekend to speak to the manager to see if he is able to view king size pillows or phone charger left behind.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[6] • Location:[3]

  • My car was safe even though I did not think it was going to be.
  • It was loud and near a not so good neighborhood.

“It was not the hotel I was expecting and it was expensive for this kind of hotel. motel 6 is cheaper and nicer. Our car was safe for a week but I was worried about it. I was glad that we got free parking for a week because we were on a cruise.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Convenient location to pier for cruises.
  • No elevator.

“For cruisers, with an overnight stay, this hotel is ideal. Only a few miles from the pier, it provides quick access. Plus, the manager has a plan where four, seven day cruisers can leave their car there on the lot if they choose. Super manager!”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[6] • Location:[5]

  • Location to port.
  • No parking, people living in hotel, a little scary.

“If you arrive late expect to park at the convenience store next door, there seemed to be people living there and the last parking space was taken up by a charcoal grill, people drinking in the parking lot, did not feel safe nor did I sleep well. Location to port was good.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[10] • Location:[1]

  • Nothing.
  • Desk clerk answered my question.

“This hotel should never charge more than $50 for this type of hotel. It is old, stale, out of the way location. No money has been spent to up grade. It's a place a trucker would stop to bath and sleep, nothing else.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[7] • Location:[2]

  • Easy access to the highway.
  • Location.

“The only thing bad about the actual hotel was that it kind of smelled musty when we first arrived, but it went away. The continental breakfast was a joke. The pastries and donuts were stale, the juice machine didn't work and there was not individual servings of milk. You had to poor milk from a gallon jug over the cereal and then try to make it back to the room without spilling and/or the cereal being soggy. Of course there was no place to sit inside the lobby.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • Staff helped us with cruise transfers, allowed us to leave car for the week.
  • Mold and water stains on the walls.

“The location is off the beaten track but for the money we didn't care. We were less enthusiastic about the view of a nasty-looking canal and rooms that obviously had water damage. ”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[8] • Location:[5]

  • Clean, Easy to find.
  • Not Convenient to anything without a car.

“Overall, you get what you pay for. It worked well for me, but I don't think it would be great for a holiday traveler. It is not well located to downtown Galveston or the beaches, but certainly workable if you have a car. It is clean, the water is hot, the air conditioner worked and the staff was friendly. I would stay there again if business again calls me to Galveston.”
