• Very clean room, beds so comfortable I wanted to stay in the room!
• Pool looked dirty.

• The mattresses were outstanding in my spouse's words and she's a hard sell!
• Water pressure could have been better.

“For the quality at this price, and based on its proximity to Galveston Island, (especially before off-season pricing takes effect there), this was a definite home run.”

• The breakfast was very good.
• Our room had no drapes so the light shined in our window all night long so it was way to light and we got no sleep.

“The hotel needs something on their windows to block the lights from outside.”

• It was in a good location near Galveston and Clear Lake.
• The pool was extremely small.

• The room, the hot tub & the breakfast.
• Housekeeping going thru my things, the fact that my room card worked maybe half the time.

“I didn't care for the room service my last full days stay. Housekeeping came in & cleaned the room while I was on my laptop. I left shortly after housekeeping was done. Before leaving I turned everything on my comp. Off as I always do & closed the lid. Upon returning back to the room my lid was up & the internet had been pulled up. When I was walking back to the room there were 2 Hispanic housekeepers in the hallway as I approached they started talking.”

• It was undergoing remodeling at the time.

• I think that the staff was very friendly and I admired that the most.
• There was no refrigerator in the room.

“I think that this hotel is good for maybe a short business trip it's location was excellent not far from mall of the mainland and had a far choices of restaurants to choose from I would stay here again, and the beds were very comfortable.”

“Toilet seat broken, tile has big cracks needs replacement--not patch up, toilet flapper needs replacement, toilet intermittently flushed, A/C front panel half-broken. Why do you not already know these things?”

• My kids loved the pool!
• No onsite restaurant/bar.

“Our stay with the Fairfield in was very enjoyable. The staff was very accommodating and the hotel was very clean. I would have to say that the beds were more comfy than expected. Our children loved the pool and hot tub, all inside for year round enjoyment. An all around pleasant stay!”

• Great, comfortable bed and sheets!! Clean Room!
• No direct access from the main road.

“We stayed on our way to a Galveston Cruise. It was conveniently just off I-45 and only @ 20 minutes from the cruise terminal. The staff was friendly with a clean room. One of the best beds we've had in a hotel room in a long time!”

• Hotel parking lot access marginally inconvenient, not enough towels in room.

• The room smelled of old smoke but was supposed to be a non-smoking room.

“Very convenient location for Galveston, Johnson Space Center, dog racing, dinning. Great staff. The indoor pool was nice and always supplied with clean towels. The hot tub was a little too hot.”

• The indoor pool and hot tub are a great plus!
• Nothing.

“This is our second stay at a Fairfield Inn, and it was just as great as the last. Very clean and everything one would need from pleasure to business. I recommend this hotel to anyone that wants the comforts of a more expensive hotel for a lot less. My wife, hour children, and I had a great time. We wanted to go to the beach since it was not far, but could not because it just had to rain, but we were able to have a great time in the indoor pool and hot tub. The pool/hot tub hours were great too since they were open until midnight!! A+”

“The staff were very friendly, there were a lot of choices at their breakfast and kept clean at all times. The mall was just right out the door and a short walk. The rooms were very clean. I liked that they put 4 pillows on the bed and they were not flat ones. I would stay there again”

• Very quick drive to Galveston - at a mainland price.
• Location is several miles from anywhere you want to be.

“Staff at this hotel were great: friendly & helpful. Location is just OK: only 10 miles to Galveston to the south and decent shopping / dining to the north, but this hotel is in a "dead" mall parking lot with very little real close. If you are on a tight budget AND have business in Texas City / LaMarque or want to visit Galveston, this hotel is a great option. Rooms are clean, there is an indoor pool/ hot tub in case of bad weather, and a basic breakfast is included.”
