“Not impressed. Although the staff was very friendly I would not recommend staying at this location. The beds were a little bigger than a full size. I am not a big person (5'5") and my feet hung off the end. All the extras in the room did not work (the hair dryer or the coffee pot), and there was no washing machine or dryer which would have been very helpful.”

“It was clean. No workout facility and no dining facility in the hotel. And not enough free TV channels.”

“This hotel is not worth a second try:1. The rooms walls are too thin that you can hear the next door closing, showers running and people talking. 2. The room cleanliness is not up the standard to the other hotels we have stayed at. 3. The beds are not that comfortable (Cheap mattress). 4. The room smells musky 5. La Quinta was NOT fixable about changing our room reservation since it has 2 double beds rather queen/king size beds. Therefore my wife and I end up sleeping in a very small uncomfortable bed. Needless to say, we didn't sleep well that night. 6. The Continental breakfast was not what we expected. Their breakfast was in individual packages of bagel, milk, muffins and cereal. Whatever happened to eggs or at least warm breakfast items? Bon appetite! ”

“This hotel has excellent location. It is close to dining and shopping. Also near to health facilities. Except that we had to take a room where we had to sleep in separate beds, the stay was very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and relatives visiting Tyler.”

“Over all a pleasant experience. Would like to have a waffle station like other La Quinta and the Fairfield down the street has. They really need to change the sheets after each guest. The first bed smelled just like men's aftershave. Also the room had allotted of chipped paint that needs to be touched up to look better. Some of the lamps didn't work.”

“It was below average in my opinion. We called the night before and requested a king sized bed at an extra charge. When we checked in they didn't have a king room for us, even though we had reserved one. They did end up giving us a handicap room with a king sized bed in it which we preferred to the room with two full beds which they were going to give us. But it did lead to other inconvenience like having to move out the TV stand so it would face the bed, a very, very small counter in the bathroom because the need for extra space to make it wheelchair accessible and a handicap shower (by the way the shower head was so powerful I was afraid it was going to leave bruises! I hope no one physically frail is using those showers). The bedding appeared clean and the room just had a faintly stale smell to it. The walls in the bathroom were grimy, especially around the fixtures, there was a urine stain on the side of the toilet and floor and a dead fly under the sink and the bathtub floor was stained dark grey. And then as we were relaxing in bed watching some TV a huge cockroach ran out along the wall and my husband had to kill it with his shoe. This resulted in us trying to sleep with the lights on, and even though our paranoia over large bugs isn't the hotels fault, it made for a very poor nights sleep. The breakfast was on the low side of the average hotel; cereal, cheap pastries, ancient fruit and watery juice or undrinkable coffee. The breakfast area was none to clean either. The staff was friendly and check out was simple. We told them about the cockroach and they said they would have someone come spray. . . We will not stay their again. We've also stayed at the Fairfield Inn just down the road and it was a WAY better experience and we'll go back there the next time we're in Tyler.”
