• The price per room was good as well as location
• The dish network was not working well&staff lied about the situation

“Location & price were good, but the Dish network was not working for half the channels, so if your looking to watch something on network TV, you better call in advance to see if that channel is working, they said it has been a problem for 1 year”

• Continental breakfast was very accomodating; microwave and refrig in room
• Overhead light in bathroom sometimes came on and sometimes not, took a bath in the dark, not a light bulb problem.

“Friendly staff, very convenient to beach, shopping and restaurants. Nice size of room with a table, practical bathroom with sink outside the tub, toilet room. Good cont. breakfast.”

• The staff was friendly and the continental breakfast was good.
• There was a roach in the microwave.

“The staff was friendly, location was near the beach. On the downside, there was a roach in our microwave. The beds were hard and most of the guests at the hotel were rowdy workers from the nearby chemical plant. I would not recommend this place for a family and I do not think it was a 2 star hotel. But I can't say enough good things about the staff. very friendly!”

• Clean room. Comfortable bed. Refrigerator in room.
• AC inadequate for Texas heat. Remote half-way worked.

“I stay here quite often. The ACs are getting old and some of them can't handle afternoon heat, barely can handle mild nighttime. Staff is friendly. Quite often, stuff doesn't work, like lights, light switches, TV remotes. Many of the rooms have refrigerators which I need. The bathtubs have an irritating step up and are dangerous to get out of if you forget the tub floor is higher than the room floor.”

• New paint of the outside.
• Room had a bad oder and had to buy airfreshner to fix.

“For an inexpensive hotel they tried hard but they needed some type of security in the parking lot. As we were getting ready to leave to undesireable looking people try to confront my wife and she told them to buzz off and got in our car. This happened as we were trying to leave and in broad daylight.”

• The rooms were roomy and equipped with fridge and microwave.
• Everything was fine, there was nothing I didn't like.

“It was fine. A good La Quinta. Everything was clean, the rooms were roomy, and it was near where I wanted to be. I'd stay again.”

“Very nice room. Nice bed. Gave us lots of pillows. Breakfast average. Fresh cookies at night. Very friendly, helpful staff. Right on the main drag and yet quiet.”

“Staff is friendly; property is clean and kept up well. Free breakfast selection is above-average. My only thoughts on how liquate could improve this property would be to expand their free TV channel selection to a standard 50-60 channels and upgrade their mattresses which are hard as a rock.”

“The Clute LaQuinta offers an excellent value for anyone staying in the Lake Jackson/Freeport area. The staff is friendly, the room and grounds are clean and the one service request I had on my room was taken care of immediately. My only wishes are ones I have for every LaQuinta I've ever stayed at: Upgrade to better mattresses, and give us a standard cable TV lineup of at least 50-60 channels (not just 18).”

• Beds were comfortable and clean.
• Fleas in carpet, waffle syrup was awful, no fruit at breakfast.

“The beds were clean and comfortable, which is the only good thing during our stay. There were fleas in the carpet and the place seemed run down as compared to other La Quintas. The breakfast was pretty lame, good waffles, but the syrup was awful. No fruit. Eat somewhere else.”
