• Front desk did call the police after we discovered our truck had been broken into.
• Attitude of the staff and security during fire alarm incident.

“My husband and friends had been moved to this hotel because of the damage done by IKE. I had no problem with maintenance being there and there, that was a given. My concerns were and are the fact that the fire alarms went off on the 10th and 11th floors. While rushing to get dressed I called the front desk to ask if it might be a false alarm several times. I got no answer. We exited the hotel by the stairs and waited for almost 30 minutes for an all clear from the hotel staff, none came. Not even a security guard. One of the guest who was on the 10th floor with us gave the all clear to families with small children and the rest of us. I was very discouraged that the staff couldn't be bothered with what I consider a very important matter. There were also 3 security guards on duty they didn't give an all clear. And they could not be bothered to patrol the parking lot either because our truck was broken into we discovered upon check-out later that morning. In all my years as a business traveler and traveling for leisure I have never been so disappointed as a Priority Club member. I would never stay there again and I don't consider this hotel safe for families with children due to the fire alarm incident.”

• Nice hotel. Lovely room and the pool area was nice.
• Wish dining area was opened more. Not comfortable with bar setting with young kids.

• We liked the central location - and that it had an efficient shuttle to MD Anderson Hospital.
• We couldn't get a receipt for the one night not used!

• The manager had good customer, service skills. Gave us free breakfast and wanted to give us night free.
• Our got broken into at 9:00am very traumatic for me and my two young children!

“It was be the reliant stadium. They made woke us up at 8:30 by opening our door. Then the manager called around 9:15 to tell us our car had been broken into. The manager gave us free breakfast and wanted to compensate our room. He offered us a future night free, but no thanks! Now the all Relatives know what happened to us.”

• Outdated; carpet stained.

“Overall, a good experience. We do not think that this hotel should be rated 3-star. Probably more in the 2-star range. Facility is in need of upgrades and remodeling.”

• The location and the hotel environment was very calm and quiet.

“Overall, I had a great experience and it met all of my expectations. The purpose of my trip was for medical reasons, and I am happy to say that the hotel made my stay less stressful.”

• The entire staff was very helpful and friendly.
• Nothing.

“This is an excellent hotel if you are using the Texas Medical Center in anyway. It is close by with free shuttle service every 30 minutes. It is a clean an up to date facility.”

• Dirty carpet, dark hallways, too expensive for price, could hear people next door very clearly.

“A good thing about this hotel was that the staff was nice and the hotel is close to Reliant Stadium (if that is important. it wasn't for us). Otherwise, it is dark, a bit dirty and is not in an area that has entertainment or restaurants unless you consider Sonic an option. Was not a 3 star in my opinion. May be a 2 star.”

• Location & staff.
• Very old, not very clean, high priced breakfast, very rooms, and bathrooms in size of a closet.

“I would never want to go back to this hotel. Hotel is old and rooms are very ordinary. Bathrooms are extra small. Staff was friendly which was about the only good thing that can be mentioned about this hotel. Breakfast was ridiculously priced at the restaurant.”

• Room was nice.
• No free breakfast, not even cornflakes or instant oatmeal.

“I really expected a modicum of breakfast. I just wanted to run down and grab a bowl of instant oatmeal or bran flakes with my coffee and no such luck. I think for a business traveler, breakfast should be automatic, not something I have to order or go to outside my hotel. I actually had a very important exam that I took with no breakfast.”

• The restaurant staff and food were fantastic.
• The fire alarm of the entire floor went off at 530 a.m. until 830 a.m.

• Cleanliness of the room was poor. The room smells bad (urine).

• Woman at desk was very helpful.
• 3 tries until room was acceptable, no A/C in hallways.

“Hallways were run down, and it took 3 tries to get a room that worked (one key didn't work, one room was dirty). Construction started the next morning early. Overall, not a 3-star experience.”

“It was pretty nice in a pretty good location. Would be great for anyone needing to be around Reliant stadium or close to the medical center. Bathrooms were very nice. Everything else was good but not great.”

“The hotel was in a good location and at a decent price. However, I had some issues with in room movies and they couldn't figure it out - they entered my data incorrectly - expect amateur hour at this hotel.”
