“The guest complaining when I arrived was a clue, but I gave them a chance. Air Conditioning did not work. All of the pictures were missing from the wall. The brackets that held them and obvious stains where they had been were left for reminders. Train tracks were very close and a train horn woke me up every hour. The comforters were riddled with cigarette burns. The refrigerator was tepid- not cold. There was a large electrical conduit strung across the parking lot that appeared to have been there for a long time (not a temporary situation). In short, a rat hole on its way out- not a temporary remodeling situation. 1/4 star is more like it. By a business traveler who spends 3-4 nights a week in budget hotels.”

“Comfort inn has done a terrific job remodeling this old Rodeway. The train still comes by, so be prepare it's loud, but it can be comforting.”

“I was taken back by the way the door appeared like it had been kick in a time or two. I had to bend the chain bracket back in place to latch it on the door. The side of the toilet didn't look like it had been cleaned in a couple weeks. I had problems with the remote for the TV and even though the details about amenities showed HBO they no longer had the channel. The door to the room was within 90 feet of the freeway off ramp and louder than I expected. Just not a good overall experience.”
