• met our needs for a price we could afford...and it wasn't a 'roach motel'
• we had a dog that could not stay with us, luckily we were visiting family that could house the dog. The breakfast was pricey

• Nice appearance in public areas.
• In questionable area for night security.

“A very nice hotel with a pay for breakfast buffet. Has security guard at night as area has had auto breakins. Staff was very friendly and the room with very clean.”

• Clean and convenient location.
• Location was not real safe - had to go 3-4 lanes over to go where I was going.

• Very comfy bed, plasma TV, great staff, deli items on sale, close to gas station, car wash and Galleria.
• Not much to look at from the outside and not in the best neighborhood.

“For anyone who needs to get to the Galleria area, 10 freeway, 290 or 310, the location is ideal, but not swanky. Lobby is presentable, 2 computers for patron usage, pool and hot tub. Most comfortable bed ever, plasma TV, good-sized room, modern decor and great, friendly staff. Some people might not like the proximity to a gas station and car wash. It worked out well for me. Didn't eat there, but everything looks clean and polished on the inside.”

• The staff is incredibly helpful, attentive and welcoming.
• The exterior doors are difficult to navigate with a luggage cart. Automatic doors please!

“When arriving in the parking lot the hotel appears to be an average hotel for the run of the mill business trip but upon entering and being welcomed by the staff one begins to understand that this hotel could become your favorite hotel in the city. Although it is not a four star I find it to be more welcoming because the staff remembers you and will go the extra mile to make certain your stay is as comfortable as if you were visiting with the relatives. I cannot say enough good things when it comes to the courtyard brook hollow. I have stayed at many hotels in the past several years and I have not ever written a review, long or short, sweet or seething. This has been my experience at the Courtyard Brook hollow and I hope to see them again very soon!”

• The staff was the most friendly, helpful staff I have ever encountered.
• Restaurant in front was closed.

• Management bends over backwards to do the right thing.
• Housekeeping needs to be trained on the importance of privacy.

“Really like to stay here. Mgmt is very attentive and cooperative works to keep customer satisfied. All hotel staff cares what customer thinks, says and experiences. Tries to correct any issue short term and long term. Chris and LaQuita rock! Angel is excellent as well!”

• Kind staff members, clean room, free Wi-Fi were impressive.
• There were some differences in amenities.

“Convenient location, clean facilities and room, kind staff members, and cheap price with free Wi-Fi were great. But, it seems better for business travelers, not for leisure or family vacationers. The most disappointing fact to me was they don't heat the pool and don't have a whirl pool, even though their web homepage says they do.”

• Staff was friendly.
• The bathrooms were too small. The beds were too hard and the pillows were worn flat.

“This hotel is ok. The staff was really friendly and helpful during our stay. The hotel is old and outdated. The guest bathrooms were too small. The beds are too hard and the bedding and pillows are worn. Breakfast in the cafe was ok. The food was over cooked and dinnerware not fully clean. Not quite the Marriott quality I expected. Ok for a short stay.”

• It was close to every place I needed to go.
• Rooms were not as sound proof as I would have liked.

“It was central to the places I needed to be that weekend. The staff was gracious and friendly. I would stay there again anytime. And I appreciated security patrolling the grounds in the evening.”

• Good pool and next to the highway.
• Wireless internet connection was really bad.

“Hotel comfort was good, but the wireless internet connection was not good. Internet did not work most of the time, when it worked had many disconnections and slow. They should definitely get that fixed.”

• It was clean and the sheets were nice they did not have the top sheet that most hotels have.
• The price of the breakfast buffet was too high for breakfast. We went else where.
