• Location.
• Run down, tired and dirty.

“By a substantial amount, this hotel is a lesser value than other 2 star units in this zone. It should be a 1 star. Rooms were small and not updated, parking lot was dark and the continental breakfast was lacking.”

• Nothing.
• Stains on sheets and chair, sticky carpet, dark, broken security lock.

“Stains on sheets and on the desk chair. The floor was wet/sticky. It was a very dark room. The bed did not have a bed skirt. It was not inviting at all. Do not recommend.”

• The hotel had friendly staff.
• No iron in room.

“This hotel was ok for the price. Iron needs to be in room if there is an ironing board. Hotel needs to have more restaurant menus of near buy eateries.”

• The price was reasonable since it was unexpected trip due to a death in the family.
• The smell of smoke in a non smoking. The lack of a clock, the pillows need to replace.

“It was convenient, priced good, good location. Staff was friendly. The smoke smell was terrible even though it was a non smoking room. They need to replace the pillows, they had small old pillows on a king size bed.”

• The hotel was exactly what we expected for the rate we paid.
• The internet service did not work.

“The room we had was not very well situated as it had vending machines right outside the door and was noisy. The room was clean and comfortable.”

• Neat, clean and had everything we needed.
• Ice maker on our floor (second) was out of order.

“Living in the country makes visits to a large city like Houston an adventure. Although the motel was located in a busy area it was quiet, and well kept. Restaurants were within walking distance.”

• Close to a grocery store.
• Unfriendly check-in staff, scary hallways and parking lot.

“Arrived at 11 pm, front door locked, staff just stared at us from inside as if we were there to rob them rather than check in. Got to our room and the door was wide open! Got another room and it was in a hallway with the laundry, boiler room and other housekeeping facilities. The room was supposedly non smoking but someone had clearly smoked in it. The property was generally in bad conditioned and poorly maintained. ”

• Bed was ok.
• Noisy, a/c did not work, had to change rooms.

“Noisy location. The room assigned was totally unacceptable. The AC unit was cycling on and off, sounding as if it was going to catch on fire. It was extremely loud. There is no way the staff could not know that. Also, the front door did not shut firmly, which added to the already noisy location. I asked for another room, which was in good order. Had they not changed rooms for me, it was so bad I would have left and paid again at another hotel.”

• Nice facility for the price.
• Our truck got broken into and about a thousand dollars worth of tools stolen.

“Very nice facility, just make sure you do not leave valuables in the bed of a truck or in a van as theft in Houston is horrible.”

• Lack of security. Two trucks broke into and equipment stolen.

“This hotel needs a better way of securing the parking lot. We had two trucks and vans that were broken into and about $3,000 worth of equipment was stolen.”

• Filthy, badly maintained, poor service.

“I suppose this hotel would rate as a 2, which it was. But, there were many problems. The a/c didn't work correctly. The maid service did not come at all one day. Apparently, this happened to several guests for no reason. The front desk staff complained about every request for normal service. Some sections of the walkways upstairs and down were covered in sticky, filthy grime. The room was clean but my husband apparently had a bad reaction to mold in the a/c. ”

“They placed me in a smoking room. When I asked for a non-smoking room, the hotel clerk was extremely rude and refused. The room was comfortable, but the exterior of the building needs to be cleaned.”
