• The staff was very nice and helpful. Beds were very comfortable and rooms clean.
• Was definitely not 3 stars, did not have DVD as said, and did not have connecting rooms for all.

“I was in charge of planning a one night hotel stay for a group of Girl Scouts and their leaders. Because of girl to leader ratio, we needed rooms that would connect. We also wanted a place that had a DVD player so that we could have a movie night instead of going out. That is why I selected this 3 star hotel. It was no where near as advertised. Nowhere did it say that only rooms with a king bed connect, it just said connecting rooms. We obviously needed rooms with 2 queens. Also, it said under amenities, that there were DVD players. I picked this place because of those 2 specific reasons and the hotel didn't have either of those. The hotel seemed very dated also, definitely not 3 stars. The beds were very nice and comfortable and the rooms were clean but not up to date. I would like to stress that the front desk and staff were VERY helpful in trying to find rooms with queens that connected but to no avail. They were apologetic that we had been disappointed. While they were lovely people, I would not have chosen this place.”

• The beds were awesome!
• No fan in bathrooms.

“This hotel was a nice place. It wasn't in a bad neighborhood in my opinion, there were restaurants and stores within a short drive, and the freeway wasn't audible from inside the room. The beds were nice enough to decide that we need a new mattress at home. I love how they give you four pillows of varying firmness so you can pick what you like best. I had no issues, and would recommend this hotel to others.”

• Very comfortable bed. Room was quiet.
• Phone system sometimes hard to get out on.

“This is an older hotel, but has been updated. The courtyard and pool area is very attractive. The surrounding neighborhood is not the best, but it has good access to west/northwest Houston. I liked the emphasis on providing a quiet, peaceful room for a good night sleep.”

• The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of staff.
• The fire in the kitchen that cut power and water off before checking out.

“Everything was great, but the AC unit in the room had the carpet very wet all around it. I only used the room to pass the night so I didn't mind, but the staff should have been aware of that. The morning we were supposed to check out we woke up late because there was no power nor water. It made it really difficult for us to make it on time to an event. They allowed us to wait in the room after check out time until the wired and power came back on, but it took hours. Power came back on at 1:40 pm but we had to leave the hotel without showering because it was already 3:45 and no waited was on. The check out time is noon.”

• I absolutely fell in love with the bedding. It was one of the best ever.
• The Air Conditioning. Room was sort of humid even with AC going. Loud units also.

“We were in town for a wedding. It is at a great location near many dining facilities. Traffic level was low. Pretty nice employees and quiet hotel.”

• I liked that it accommodated me with a balcony for smoking, it being a no smoking facility.
• I have nothing to say that I did not like.

“This hotel is wonderful. I always tell my friends about it. The people are very nice and professional and very attendant to your needs. I've been staying at this hotel for about 3 years now, I was here when they did some work on it and it was still wonderful. Thanks again for your hospitality.”

“Although the furniture was nice, the room itself was horrible. The wallpaper was peeling, the baseboards were nasty. The tub leaked hot water. My 3 year old was burned by it. The carpet was dirty and the hallway reeked like liquor.”

• It still had an upscale feel even though it's an older hotel.
• No coffee bar on the weekends, the TV was kind of old, but worked.

“Really a great place with super nice rooms and beds. It was clean and smelled nice. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. There's a nice business center and exercise room. The outdoor pool is nice and clean. We really enjoyed it. Oh, and it has free WiFi, so my son was glad he brought the laptop.”

“Overall, the hotel was very nice. The front desk clerk seemed bothered to be helping anyone. They were unable to fulfill my request of two beds in the room and even the roll away beds that are available were unavailable.”
