• The room was very clean.
• The hotel advertised fresh waffles, but there were none.

“This hotel was not much to look at on the outside, but the room was very clean and well-maintained. I was surprised to find a microwave and refrigerator as well as ironing board and coffee maker as I was not expecting the room to include them. I was not very pleased to find that the rooms have outdoor access.”

• In room bathroom faucet in poor repair.

“If you would otherwise stay at a nationally advertised super-budget motel, this gives you the same quality, and a couple of added amenities such as wireless internet and free waffle breakfast.”

• Did not have an indoor pool or Jacuzzi.

“Old, but clean. Decorated very nicely. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Couldn't believe there was a hotel in Kansas without a pool or Jacuzzi!”

• The area was not especially nice.

• Cheap.
• Total crap.

“Service was horrible - not everything was cleaned. Walls were paper thin. Our keycards were deactivated after one night, the bed and sheets had holes, were too thing, and extremely uncomfortable. Supplies not restocked. Rust in shower. Very few outlets.”

• I like the location.
• Check out was 11am. I asked for a 2pm. They charge $20.00.

“There was a gap in the bottom of the door. The sheets look less than good quality.”

• This hotel is very dirty, seemed to be dangerous.

“This hotel should not have been rated a two start hotel. If you are into a cheap/dirty room but a hot breakfast this would be a great deal for you!”

• Quality breakfast.
• Room smelled like dog urine.

“This hotel barely meets the quality I would expect from a Knight's Inn and I paid for Best Western. Room smelled badly (although fairly clean) and we had to get the manager to let us in multiple times because of faulty keys. I was charged $10 on top of price to get a non-smoking room with 2 double beds, so for the price paid I could have stayed at a much nicer hotel. Would not recommend.”

• The continental breakfast was excellent, something for all four of us!
• Pillows were very flat.

• I loved the outdoor pool and playground.
• The air conditioning in our room was way too cold even after we turned it down 2 times.

“Thought the hotel was very clean and very nice for the money we paid. I had driven by this hotel on several occasions and never stopped because I thought it was way out of our price range. This hotel will now be our 1st choice whenever we stop in or around the Topeka area again.”

• Belgian waffles for breakfast!
• One of the washers was inoperable. Supposedly fixed the week before.

“I would not have rated this hotel as a 2 star. It would have been more appropriate as a 1 star.”

• Hotel employees were great.
• We filed a police report for an incident with our vehicle about 3 blocks from the hotel.

“Staff were kind. We could not get 2 beds (instead of 1 King) without paying an additional $8.00/night plus hotel taxes--which made it closer to 10.00/night for our 7 night stay.”

“Our room was not very clean. There was food on the floor and crumbs in one of the beds. It was an old property, but a good location. The staff was friendly and helpful. It should be a one star rating.”

“Our non-smoking room had burn holes in the carpet, bedspread and chairs. The room smelled and the mattress was the worst I have ever laid upon. I was unable to sleep at all due to the consdion of the room. The furniture in the room and lobby was grimy and disgusting. ”
