• The location is great for Topeka, easy access to the interstates, dining, and entertainment.
• The plumbing is bad, sinks and tubs back up. Hallways have a bad odor, like chlorine and mildew.

“I've stayed at this hotel every July for the last four years. It has steadily deteriorated and I will be staying elsewhere next time. The plumbing is bad. The sinks backed up in every room I was in. The tubs backed up in some rooms. The hallways have a odor like chlorine and mildew, I guess because of humidity from the indoor pool, but it smells like that even on the third floor. My non-smoking room smelled like smoke. The location is great, but there are a half dozen other options in the vicinity.”

• The staff was friendly.

“The hotel was dirty, there were hairs all over the bathroom. The hotel couldn't find my reservation or method of payment. The rooms have very thin walls that you can hear everything through.”

• The breakfast.

“Easy to find. Employee gets an A+. Rooms were clean. Close location to where I needed to be.”

• Very friendly staff.
• The room furniture was pretty cheap. The bed spread had cigarette burns in it. Frankly, the room smelled a bit.

“This is a very basic motel. One notch lower, and they would be charging by the hour. The staff is very warm and accommodating, but there really is no pretense at this motel trying to be something it is not. The room smelled a bit like mildew. I noticed cigarette burns on the bed spread, and frankly did not want to look around for fear of what I might find. It was adequate.”
