“Clarion Hotel Omaha is the best hotel in Omaha for the price. The beds are pillow top and comfortable. They have free high speed internet as compared with other hotels that charge up to $12.00 per night. They have a great hot breakfast for free and a lot more. This hotel is one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in and well worth the price. I travel over 30 nights a year and when I am in Omaha I will always stay at this hotel from now on.”

“I stayed at this hotel in June of 2008 and I was not all that impressed. The hotel lobby made me think of a hospital. The room was fairly nice, clean and the bed was ok. When I got there the pool was out of service which really disappointed me. To make matters worse, the front desk staff was very cold and unfriendly. I probably wouldn't stay there again.”

“The hotel wasn't bad it was just that it smelled like smoke and pets when it was a non smoking room. The carpets had stains in it in the hall way. Other than that it was a nice hotel.”

“I would not recommend this hotel. It is poorly run, rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis, and it seems to be run by owners with no financial backing. They just barely exist. Major renovations and infusion of capital is needed to bring this hotel up to a reasonable standard. I would never consider staying here again.”

“Staff members seem to have other cultural backgrounds than the general U.S. They did not seem to "schmooze" with customers.”

“Avoid! This hotel is a nightmare. The hotel was not of quality or the star level, so we spent 5 days in this trap. The pool has been condemned by the city. The front door does not latch, so the hotel can not be secured. Part of the stair rail is broken. Paint is peeling. The hotel is shabby. The overall quality of this place is absolutely no quality.”

“I stayed at this hotel recently while visiting relatives in the nearby town of Gretna. Located in the West Omaha area and about 20 minutes from Eppley Airfield, this hotel location is ideal for someone that requires close proximity to the airport while desiring the convenience of the city's major shopping centers. The rooms were spacious and quiet with pillow top beds that had apparently brand new bedspreads. The room rate includes a buffet breakfast with many choices including egg dishes, sausages, fresh fruit, bakery goods, cereals, and juice. The swimming pool and whirlpool are well maintained and kept at appropriate temperatures. My only complaint about this area was the lack of pool towels, but this issue was immediately addressed when I informed the front desk. The lady at the front desk did not know perfect English, but had quite a quirky personality, and I rather enjoyed her sincerity and her commitment to serving the customer. All in all, the stay was a good experience and I have recommended this hotel to my closest friends.”

“This hotel was formerly a Clarion and all of the old Clarion logos are still used. Everything has a dingy look to it and though it appears there is a restaurant and swimming pool, both are actually closed and all outside locks to the building have been deactivated and are broken. The lights flicker, if you're looking for mood lighting, but the best is the dirty iron that stains your shirt. Makes for a great impression.”

“When we became bored of Omaha after our first day there, the gentleman that works on the front desk on weekdays suggested that we visit Omahas Henry Doorly Zoo, as it is regarded as among the worlds best facilities of its kind. For me, the Zoo was an excellent diversion from our sometimes annoying relatives; for the kids, it was just a blast. The next morning, we enjoyed the Hot breakfast that comes complementary with the room; it was such a feast that the kids couldnt use the swimming pool as we had planned because they were too full of food. The most important criteria by which I judge hotels is also the most basic that criteria are the comfort of the bed. All the fancy swimming pools, restaurants, and excellent service is worthless to me unless this basic need is met. This hotel had such luxurious bedding that out of the numerous hotels we stayed at during our 2 week trip, this is where I got the best night sleep. The hotel is in the newer western part of town, which made it conveniently located for us, as we went shopping at Oak view Mall and ate at the surrounding restaurants. My only complain would be that because it was a busy hotel, we couldnt find a good parking spot and ended up walking a block to the lobby door. The service was courteous and genuinely helpful. We loved our stay and will definitely love to stay there again.”

“At the desk there was a handwritten sign that said the pool was closed for remodeling. This trip was to celebrate my daughters kindergarten graduation and the pool was closed. When I mentioned it to the front desk associate, she said, it should be open next week. It was a poor stay.”

“This hotel is old and run down. It used to be a Clarion but not any more. The door lock didn't work on the first room they assigned to us. They assigned us a different room but there were cleaning supplies and rags left on the floor as though the cleaning person hadn't finished cleaning. The hotel is a large six story facility with several hundred rooms but they had only a handful of customers the night we were there. We had the feeling that they can't possibly survive without renovation and new management. They did serve a good continental plus breakfast.”

“We will need two rooms every month as we come to Omaha for church service. I am not one who usually complains. It was a disappointing experience since we have been in the same building many times before but under different management.”

“An old Clarion now called Clarino. No, best describes my recommendation. Worse than the general condition of the property, was the attitude of the staff.”

“It was easy to find and drive into. Also there was a gas station right next door. It had plenty of parking. The complimentary breakfast was nice, though the coffee could have been hotter at the breakfast room and they could have had bread for the toaster along with the bagels. It was quite nice. They could have advertised where the breakfast was in the lobby but when we asked at the front desk, we were told. Overall it was very good.”

“I booked for 2 rooms. When we got there they said I only had a reservation for 1 room. I then had to pay the higher cost for the room they said we didn't book for. Staff was unfriendly. Bar and restaurant were closed permanently. The place was just spooky - glad to get out in the morning.”

“Have stayed here many times previously and enjoyed the accommodations. Is now in need of repairs desperately. Peeling paint in the entire swimming area. No emergency phone in the pool area. The hot tub had no controls so no working jets. An open standing ladder in the pool area looked like an accident waiting to happen. Our room was nice but unclean. The bathroom toilet obviously hadn't been cleaned, a used bar of soap was in the shower, and the windowsill was full of dead flies and our stay was in February so they had been there awhile!”

“The parking lot was empty-the hotel was uncomfortably empty and quiet. The registrar was accommodating and helpful but looked like a more of a maintenance crew staff (work shirt, disheveled appearance, not professional in appearance or attire.Of the two room keys we were given, only one worked. The room lacked hand towels & washcloths for two guests-which we had made reservations for. No information was given until asked about the breakfast to be included with the room & then information provided was vague. The breakfast room was strangely quiet-no staff available to direct or receive help from. Hot items were available, such as pancakes, but no butter or syrup to put on them. The syrup brought out was served in a carafe that looked as if it had not be cleaned since the last owner left. Cold cereal was available, but no spoons were available. At first glance the room was large and well appointed but in need of deep cleaning upon closer inspection. We were the only ones there at 8:00 in the morning. A strange experience. Overall, it was less than we hoped for but much better than some experiences we have had. It was a little hard to relax as we wondered if we were safe or if something dreadful may have been lurking. There could not have been more than 10-15 guests in this huge facility, yet we still had adjacent guest room TV noise to deal with. I would not stay alone in this hotel, it would be great for a group.”
