• Close to highway and downtown Plano, mall, great shopping. Nice room.
• Restaurant was expensive, fridge and microwave nonexistent.

“Nice hotel. Located within walking distance of downtown Plano, which has lots of nice bars/restarants...also a good running route.”

• Very clean, comfortable. Quiet hotel.
• Trees hid the sign but they added to the hotel appearance.

• They changed our room when we requested a change.
• The first room they put us in was the worst room I'd ever been in.

“It appears that the first and second floors of this hotel have not been renovated in a very long time, and are terrible. We walked in the first room we were assigned, and then walked right back out to the front desk. That was the first time we'd ever done something like that. Once reassigned to the third floor, it was obvious the rooms had been re-done and we were satisfied with the cleanliness of the room, enough to continue our stay.”

“The hotel was clean and had a pleasant environment. Although front side of hotel had fair amount of traffic noise from 75. In the near future I will be staying in Plano at least 4 days a week for a extended time. If I could get a better deal, I would be pleased to stay at the Southfork Hotel”

• Front desk staff. One person out of many gave me a smile or made me feel welcomed.

“Looking for a place to lay your head, this will be fine. Don't expect the front desk staff to make you feel welcomed, instead they will help you to feel as though they are being bothered. Cleanliness is fine. The wireless internet appears to have been removed, not good for the business person or someone needing to manage away from home.”

• It was convenient to the interstate and was easy on & off.
• I was not there long enough to find any thing wrong.

• In Plano, where I needed to conduct business.
• Got worst room in the hotel.

“Hotel was nearly empty but staff gave me a room closest to freeway and farthest from wireless transmitter. When I told staff I could not work in my room due to lack of signal they suggested I do my work in the lobby.”

• Big rooms, nice bedding, nice breakfast buffet.
• Didn't get my room cleaned the first day.

“I ended up with bug bites on my legs. Not sure if it was bed bugs, spider bites or? Otherwise enjoyed the hotel. Good location for me, good food, nice bar, adequate work-out facilities.”

• It's a big bang for the buck.
• Had to hunt down the bartender every time for another round.

• Pool and hot tub.
• To hot in lobby and halls. Ice barrel in room was dirty.

“I will stay there again. It was convenient. The restaurant did not open until seven. Had to go elsewhere for breakfast. The room was very comfortable.”

• The tile in the room (bathroom and desk) was upscale quality, the beds were fantastically comfortable.
• Difficult to get the front desk attention, they do not have bells, and there is a lot of office space behind the counter.

“The rooms themselves where fantastic. The hotel overall is nice, but you can tell there are some upgrades needed. The restaurants, pool, hot tub, etc. all looked to be in excellent condition.”

• The front desk staff is rude.

“I stayed at this hotel several times. I was made to feel inferior to the front desk staff. They are rude and ill mannered. They also lied about my boyfriend after we told the manager that we planned to contact the owner of South fork with a letter. I do not recommend to anyone.”
