• It had festive fall decor and a nice pool.
• The owner was having a heated discussion with the front desk clerk while we were lounging in the lobby.

“The breakfast bar was scant, it had cereal, orange juice, toast, pastries, and English muffins, and oatmeal. The coffee was very weak and not flavored. The hotel did not have housekeeping services over the wk. End, I overheard staff talking about the "call ins". The room was clean enough, nothing fantastic for decor, but acceptable. I dropped my cell phone behind the dresser and found litter there. The hot tub was full of sand at the bottom. The staff was not overly friendly or motivated but was accommodating with questions and requests. I would not go out of my way to revisit. Brookings needs a Hampton inn like Mitchells!”

• Very modern, clean, and comfortable room.
• We had to drive a few miles to get into the town.

“Great place to stay. Quiet, clean, comfortable room with all the extra amenities. Flat screen TV. Full size shampoo, etc. One of the nicest places we've stayed in. Lobby is beautiful and sits right on the golf course. It's more than a hotel/resort and the people there were very friendly. Please take the opportunity to stay here.”

• Smoker friendly dog friendly.

“Hotel was ok their super fee breakfast is not very good. All in all I would try one of the other hotels in Brookings.”
