“This is a wonderful historic hotel with a rich and wonderful history. All of the staff showed outstanding customer service. The concierge desk provides local transportation as available and was available to take us to the convention center, the mall, and to wonderful restaurants. Most of all service was delivered with a smile.”

“I had heard good things of this hotel in the past, the guest rooms were terrible-exposed wiring no temp control in room- curtains falling off the wall-doors exposing pipes that could not be closed, the worst hotel stay I have ever had in Dallas I was embarrassed by this room. I will never used your service and buy a room blind again. Please cancel my info with your company.”

“If you like a historic hotel experience, the Stone Leigh will take you back to the 30's and 40's! Although it has been renovated for today's comforts, it still has the historical charm that takes you back somewhere in time. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The location was in a walking distance of the American Airlines Center, but the hotel provided a free shuttle service, but we walked! Across the street is the Stone Leigh P ( PUB) wonderful food. Try the mashed potatoes and their famous Godiva Pie YUM! You will not be disappointed if you are looking for all comforts of an era passed! If you enjoy modern, new hotels, this hotel is not for you, but it was just what the doctor ordered for me!”

“The place is going to be renovated. You are told this over and over again. It's a nice looking hotel but the furniture is shabby. Place is very clean. Our room spacious. But the plumbing is ancient so in the middle of a shower the water goes scalding. Also, the thermostats in the rooms don't work. Evidently, the ac and heating system is for the whole hotel, not each room separately. So if you want heat on you have to call the front desk for them to turn it on. If you want ac, you have to call the front desk to turn it on. The problem with my room was there was no heat just cool air. So I had them just turn it off totally. The staff was very nice, especially room service and the valet. A half hour after we get our room service, the young man or woman would call to make sure everything was alright. Also the valets knew how to give directions perfectly. Anyway, thanks to the staff I was able to deal with the central air and plumbing problems.”

“A beautiful, rustic hotel built in 1923. The only down side was being on the same floor as the Sigma Tau something fraternity reunion. Despite numerous calls to the front desk, the night manager. Did nothing to quiet the drunk and loud rowdies, and I did not get to sleep until 3:30 am.”

“The hotel was great. I did not expected all that luxury. We were able to walk around that area and it was close to everything. The parking was great as well as the room.”

“The Stone Leigh is an essentially unchanged grand hotel from the 1920s which appears to have fallen into disrepair. It is in a central location convenient to West Village, Turtle Creek and Downtown. It met my needs and at the price is a hotel in which I would definitely stay again. It is not for everyone.”

“The appearance of the hotel is nice. The elevators, hallways and rooms are poorly kept up. Paint is chipping and pealing everywhere. Doors to rooms have over a 1" gap to the floor. Bed in our room was comfortable but the headboard was broken apart. There was very little furniture in the room so most of our stuff sat on the floor. The shower was old with the painted tile pealing. There was a large window in the shower that was covered with dirty blinds and broken slats. The bathroom door was from 1923 and did not close. The room were a disappointment but we made the best of it. Food was excellent and the hotel is set for complete renovation done by 2007. Wait till then.”

“Stay away from this hotel at any price, the place is falling apart, rooms and lobby stink of mildew. Rooms were dirty and needed badly to be updated, all furniture minus bed was awful. Bathrooms where dirty and just flat our ancient. Couldn't take it the last night, I checked out early and went elsewhere. Worst hotel experience I have ever had and I have traveled the world.”

“The hotel is very old and has not been kept up. The rooms have a very large closet but it has a large vent that opens to the hallway which allows all the noise to filter into the room. There is also another vent the same size on the door which allows all the noise to filter into the room. Both vents could easily be removed and a person could crawl into the room and this creates a security problem. While I was there I rented another room for my daughter and a friend who came from another city and the drapes in their room were torn to shreds The water in the bathtub was a brownish color; therefore we were afraid to drink the tap water. There was a thermostat in the room but it did not work. It was very hot. We had to keep calling the desk to get the temperature adjusted - that was quite annoying. As I mentioned, I requested another room for my daughter. You would have thought they would offer some kind of discount since I already had a room for three days, but in fact they charged more for the room than what their website said the rooms were. I will not go back there and recommend that you not allow them to participate in your program. People will only be disappointed. They also charge you $6 a day just park in their lot. Where else are you suppose to park? I did not appreciate that at all. When I questioned why they charged to park (which by the way is not mentioned on their website or was not mentioned to me by anyone until we checked out), I was told that I could valet park for $12/day. Ridiculous!!!! Also, the shuttle service which was suppose to be complimentary turned out to be $20 per person to go to the Cotton Bowl. We opted to take the Dart for $4.25 per person. The only positive thing I have to say is that their shuttle driver was very nice..”

“The hotel was quaint, cute, romantic, close to the West End in Dallas, close to the football stadium's only problem I encountered was the room service tag not being picked up off of our door knob, so there was no pot of coffee waiting for me in the morning. But surprisingly, the staff was on top of it and after a phone call there was coffee there within 10 minutes. That's unusual for a hotel.”

“Exterior and interior was excellent, but trying to sleep inside this hotel was another thing. I was kept up the entire night because sounds from all over the floor funneled through my hotel door. I could hear conversations between the floor above me. I slept a grand total of 30 minutes the entire night. If your a light sleeper then this is not the place for you.”

“Overall, our stay at the Stoneleigh was enjoyable. We believe that if Stoneleigh corrected critical areas such as electrical outlets, provided fire extinguishers in the kitchenette. ”
