  • No swimming pool on site or Gym.

“The hotel was gorgeous how ever they did not have a pool or fitness on sire and you had to be driven to the pool /gym not convienent. The restaurant was expensive.”

  • Friendly staff and cleanliness.
  • Charged for parking, tiny shower and tub, expensive mini bar.

“Overall we had a fairly pleasant stay. However, $20 for parking per night was excessive. It was uncomfortable trying to shower in a tiny tub with the curtain clinging to your body. Not to mention the closeness to the airport and the loudness of planes were distracting. Other than that the room was cozy and the staff was very courteous and on top of things. The hotel was definitely for business oriented stays.”

  • Very quiet, ultra comfy & very clean.
  • Mandatory valet parking $18/night.

“I travel a lot & this is one of the best stays I've had. The room was ultra-quiet & super-comfy - I slept like a baby! The staff was helpful and friendly & although I didn't go to the restaurant/lounge areas - they looked very nice”

  • Great restaurant.
  • No gift shop or convenient shopping.

“Old style hotel, solidly built with high ceilings. 4-star restaurant. Very conservative atmosphere lending itself to business stays and not family stays.”

  • The architecture and decor of the hotel was classic yet modern and refreshing at the same time.

“This hotel is not your average, mass produced, cookie cutter hotel at all. It has a lot of charm and the service was impeccable. It's located in the heart of Dallas. There's all kinds of attractions and restaurants within 15 minutes which made it easy for us to stay busy. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat to anyone who appreciates things that aren't 'conventional'.”

  • Elegant, beautiful. Staff is always top notch and friendly.
  • I love this hotel - nothing I did not like.

“Elegant, beautiful rooms; friendly staff. Being a business traveler is it nice to stay at this small boutique hotel instead of the monster hotels.”

  • The library bar was a great place to meet with colleagues.
  • Only thing: Ceiling fan too high to adjust and it was either off or on super-fast.

“Lovely hotel in a wonderful Uptown location in Dallas. Service is impeccable. Library bar is a great place to meet friends or colleagues.”

  • Very classy and elegant hotel that was finely decorated.
  • I had to move out of my room because of noise only to move to another room excessive noise from next door.

“This is a great old classic hotel. They have done an excellent job updating the rooms, lobby and restaurant without taking away the charm. This was my second stay at this hotel and the staff made me feel right at home. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. They provide you with all the amenities that a business traveler is looking for including (high speed Internet, a mini bar, nice beds with great linens, and full compliment of toiletries). The one complaint I had with this hotel is that the walls between rooms are very thin and allow you to hear coversations, TV's, alarm clocks of the rooms surrounding you. Even with ear plugs in, I was awoken numerous times by hotel guests. The hotel staff was very accomodating and made me feel at home. I had no problem changing to a new room (because of outside noise) and they were very helpful with restaurant recommendations. I would stay at this hotel again, but would recommend getting a interior room that is less noisy.”

  • It is centrally located and very well kept.
  • Only one elevator was working and I had to wait 15 minutes for house keeping to refill the coffee flasks in the lobby in the morning.

“The staff are friendly and the place is clean. It has a very classic and vintage style that separates it from the rest. The lobby, restaurant and library-bar are very nice. The food at the restaurant is wonderful. I left my phone charger and they offered to mail it back to me, that was very nice.”
