• Hotel phone didn't even work.

• Clean and very convenient to university campus.
• Very old hotel and rooms look worn but they were clean. Very quiet even near pool.

“They nearly gave me a smoking room which would have been horrible. Room was very old and used but clean. Had frig & microwave and ironing board which was great for a cheaper hotel. Very quiet even near pool. Great location near university.”

• Trophy animals in the lobby - I find it distasteful. Stuffed bear, buffalo and deer heads on the wall.

“Toilet backed up and water went everywhere. Maintenance was in and out of our room for over an hour and never fixed the problem. We were told to just not use the toilet. When we checked out we were told that it was a line problem and several rooms had the same problem. How can you be expected to not use the toilet? They never offered to move us or give us a discount.”

• The breakfast was very good with a lot of different choices.

“The floor in the room wasn't clean. The pillows had hair on them when the covers were turned back. The door key to one of my rooms did not work and I had to go to the office several times to get in my room. The ice machine was not worth a flip. The breakfast was excellent on both mornings with a lot of different choices. The kids loved the breakfast and the pool. With 2 rooms, I was hoping to get them closer together, but the rooms were on different sides of the hotel.”

• Close to Baylor University

“This hotel was across the street from Baylor University which made it easy to walk to some of the buildings on campus with my daughter. Having two sinks in the bathroom area made it easier to get ready in the morning and the breakfast was great. For the price, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wanted to visit their son or daughter at Baylor.”

• Very clean, great A/C
• Mattress was too hard for me (I have arthritis).

• The breakfast staff and food were very good
• The bathtub was not clean

“I think the people were friendly and the service at the front desk and in the breakfast area was great. Cleanliness in lobby and breakfast area. I think our floor and bathtub were the main problem....not clean and the table had dust all over . My problem had to do with the cleanliness of the room.”

• Large well appointed rooms - Clean and comfortable - what else can I say but I will visit there as often as needed.
• The dower countenance of the folks behind the desk, the crowded breakfast room and the 'cure' attitude of the servers...

“I stayed in this location last in 1980, so expected it to be sub-standard by now. I was so pleased that the facility had been kept up that I will return time and time again, despite the curtness of the front desk and breakfast room staff.”
