• It is close to the Baylor University.
• We got the room on the street instead of an atruim room and asked for a non-smoking room, but it smelled of smoke.

• Very nice looking atrium.
• Pool closes at 9, was not aware till we arrived at 9:15.

• Location to Baylor University was great
• The fitness room was not clean and smelled.

“Location and accommodations were great for what I needed. Staff was helpful and the only issue that I brought up (unclean fitness room) was tended to quickly by them.”

• Room comfort
• Breakfast was taken down before time, rude person doing so, toaster not working.

“The hotel itself was very clean and nice. The free breakfast was less then desirable. It was taken down prior to 10:00 am, and the staff doing so was rude and only concerned with clearing the items-even reaching over guests food to do so. The toaster was not working properly and she did not have time to fix it for guests. Very poor hospitality in the breakfast area.”

• It was supposed to be a n on smoking room, It was not!

“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms were old, carpet bad. Door to the room would not close due to carpet damage. The TV are old. Overall it was just a nasty room.”

• Friendly staff, beautiful atrium and inside decor.
• Condition of grounds outside.

“Friendly staff, clean rooms and interior, including pool and atrium. Exterior ground were not kept well, maybe due to some renovations going on.”

• My children enjoyed the pool and we all enjoyed the hot breakfast.
• I did not like the rooms, too small, air condition in room loud, birds feathers everywhere.

“I travel a lot and love the hotel life. On the Internet, the hotel appeared really nice. In person, the hotel was okay but not exactly what I was expecting.”

• The pool area was very nice and relaxing.
• Doing remodeling.

“I was there to take my son to college and the hotel wasn't really important to my trip. However, when I got there it was a nice surprise. It was clean and roomy and quite. It really helped me relaxed some and not be too uptight when I was in my room.”

• Very comfy king bed; nice clean and quiet atrium.
• Restaurant was actually a lounge/bar. Food was great, though.

“I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. The room with a king bed was very comfortable and roomy. Appliances worked as needed. The disappointment, however, was the ambiance one would expect to find in a restaurant. Otherwise, no major complaints. Friendly staff overall.”

• Interior landscaping, mini arcade for kids.
• Need for plumbing tools.

“Bring a can of Drano a mop and a broom or don't plan to shower or take your shoes off! In the process of renovation which given the age of this facility are ok. If I were driving by, I would not stop as from the street is looks like a dump. At first glance of the room I felt comfortable and safe with my family. When we returned very late at night I learned there was hair on the bathroom floor. I should have known then a cleaning inspection is not top priority. The tub would not drain because of all the hair and soap scum that had built up. Too late for us to complain or I most certainly would have.”

• The hotel has a bar/restaurant & nice indoor area by deck & pool.
• Our access cards to get in & out of the common areas had many problems.

“The hotel was having renovations so the outside was rough looking. There is a beautiful landscaped indoor deck/pool area but so many rowdy kids in it we could not use it. No hot tub/Jacuzzi. Continental breakfast (cereal, bagels, Danish, juice, coffee, etc) was free & you could purchase full cooked items - all you can eat - biscuits, gravy, bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles, French toast for only $5.”

• Convenient to where we were going.
• In dire need of a complete overhaul and cleaning.

“This place appeared to be poorly maintained and dirty. Kids were constantly running up and down the halls and knocking on all the doors. Called the front desk to complain and they said that they would send someone to check it out but it continued until we checked out.”

“This hotel is ok, it's convenient to Baylor but they assigned us a smoking room and would not change it. Anyway, that certainly spoiled our stay.”

• It was clean and I felt safe due to a fence around the perimeter of the property.
• It was a little hard to get to the entrance due to the fence noted above.

“The hotel was very clean, roomy and pleasantly decorated. It had a nice wardrobe for hanging clothes. The shower was nice and clean with plenty of hot water. I got there after 10 p.m. and wished I had noticed there was a continental breakfast until 9 a.m. Would have been nice if the clerk had mentioned. My fault though - t was noted on a map of the hotel he gave me.”

• Parking no problem; room large and clean.
• Free continental breakfast was not good.

“Hotel rooms are clean and roomy and the atrium is a plus. Continental breakfast leaves a lot to be desired; although sparse pickings, the hotel could have working equipment and better than day-old breads. Even if you eat breakfast, the cleanliness and roominess of the hotel rooms make it a good buy when you have to go to Waco.”

• The hotel was convenient to Baylor university, and the room was clean.
• I did not expect a clarion inn to be a motel with rooms outside the facility.

“My overall experience was a good one for the price. I did not realize that any clarion hotel would have (motel) rooms outside the facility, but the room was clean, and the staff was helpful. Another plus is that the hotel is convenient to downtown and Baylor university.”

• The bathrooms had been updated, great air conditioner.
• The floor was filthy, huge spot on the rug, too.

“I saw a police officer in the back where our room was with a man who had his truck broken into. I didn't feel safe at all. Dirty rooms. $5.00 breakfast was cold.”
