• The room has several item that did not work. No cooking utensils.

“This was not at all what I expected for the money I spent. We had to pay an additional $30 per night for this room and it was terrible!”

• Nothing.
• Bad smell,dirty,no parking,fuzzy TV,thin walls,rude girl at desk,bad wifi signal.

“I have stayed at many hotels in south padre and this may be the worst. the room was dirty and smelled of mildew,all TV channels were very fuzzy and the volume control was locked,very small dirty pool,the wifi never worked,the walls were paper thin and could hear everything from the other rooms,all parking full every evening had to park on street.”

• The reception area was helpful, when we complained that the room has not been cleaned for two days. He got a maid and both of them cleaned the room.
• The maid pretended she didn't understand English, we said we were leaving so she can clean the room. When we came back, the room was not cleaned.

“Convenient to the beach. The receptionists were helpful. When having problems with maids, inform the receptionist. Rooms were old, carpets were peeling off, bathrooms were falling apart.”

• I liked the fact that there was no carpet.
• Lots of water on walkway due to air conditioners leaking.

“Parking spaces are very limited. Way too many parties at 3:00 in the morning. Other guests would not pick up after their visits to the pool.”

• Rooms were clean and had a mini fridge and microwave.
• The motel staff assigned the room to someone else after we were in it. Someone walked into the room at 3 AM! There are no snack machines.

“Parking lot is very small. The pool area is nice and it has a very small hot tub. They need to do a better job on booking rooms. The hotel was not busy and they double booked my room. Had I not been in the room the other party could have walked away with my things. I would stay here again as a last resort.”

• The location.
• It was not clean. It had a musty smell.

“The room was gross. There was a cigarette burn on one of the sheets. It smelled like someone just smoked in it even though it was a non-smoking room. The shower curtain and window curtains had mildew stains on them. I will never stay at the Days Inn at that location again. It was very disappointing.”

• The room was quiet.
• The woman working the reception desk was rude and sent us to two wrong rooms initially.

“The woman working the desk was rude to us initially, no welcome or thank you for coming and first gave us a smoking room (we reserved non-smoking). After notifying her about this, with no apology she sent us to another wrong room, with full beds instead of queens like we reserved. This second room was actually at the back of the hotel and the view was an ice machine and coke machine in front of a dirty concrete wall. Again no apology when we notified her of the mistake. Finally we were directed to a correct room, this one was not particularly clean-there were black streaks on the towels, a pubic hair in the bathtub, the sink backed up and the 30-year old refrigerator was rusty and crusty on the inside. The sheets did not seem clean either, and there is a 40 cent charge for local calls. It wasn't all bad- the bed was firm and provided a good sleep, the cable was ok, and it was amazingly quiet (the ceilings and walls were thick concrete). Overall, I would have to think about it before staying at the Days Inn South Padre again.”

• Convenience to the beach.
• Poor service. No towels, power washing at 8am, no ice.

“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. This was my first time at a day¿s inn and will be my last. The good thing is that it is convenient to the beach. This is probably the only reason it is still in business.”

• The mattress was ok.
• The unfriendly staff, the cold pool, the boiling Jacuzzi, the dolly Madison gem donuts for a breakfast.

“Never stay at this hotel, the Jacuzzi has no temperature gauge, the boiler for hot water goes out every night, the front desk, Jane goes out of her way to be rude, the drunks throw-up in the pool area and pass out on the tables (these were not college spring break students, the rooms were never vacuumed, and the continental breakfast was dolly Madison gem donuts. I want my money back!”

• Hotel staff were wonderful.
• Some maintenance issues.

“This is centrally located on the island and was close to everything. The staff was very dedicated and honest people. The beds were comfortable and the rm. was quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would do it again.”
