• Close to the beach, great room and service.

“We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel provided by Priceline. It was exactly what we were looking for in a getaway. We have been coming to the area for 30 yrs but never stayed at the Holiday Inn due to the high price we would normally pay. We had a great time.”

• Location.
• The broken elevator.

“I loved the location and the rooms were pretty nice. but We had to wait for the elevator for long stretches of time because one of the elevators was out of order 3 out of the 4 days we were there and apparently that is the norm.”

• The location was amazing and the rooms were clean, comfortable beds.
• Rooms were small, food was pricey but good.

“The location was excellent! We were beach side and able to walk from our room to the beach and not cross any streets. The food was very good in the restaurant but a little on the pricey side. The rental prices for chairs and cabanas was a bit much. The shower was great as well as our beds (almost a little TOO soft) Plenty of pillows, coffee available in your room or the restaurant (not lobby). We enjoyed our stay and will be returning to this hotel in the near future. The staff was friendly and they were very accommodating to our 2 year old.”

• It was located right on the beach.
• Roaches, the bed was so hard it creaked when you sat on it. Most of the electrical outlets didn't work.

“The location is great right on the beach. But the bed was very hard. We did have to kill some roaches. And the breakfast was cold.”

• Good experience.
• The ice machine on my floor (3rd floor) did not work. I had to go to the second floor for ice.

“This is a terrific hotel and I will gladly stay there again on my vacation next year. They are located on the beach and provide towels for guests. Guest of the hotel can park in the lot easily because they give you a card to hang from your mirror. We feel safe and comfortable at this hotel. Housekeeping staff are friendly and willing to assist you with your needs. We were very pleased with staff service.”

• The pool/hot tub area was wonderful.
• The elevators took forever, sometimes a line.

“Overall it was nice. We arrived and were given a smoking room. The room had a giant wet spot where they had defrosted the freezer, the air conditioner wasn't working properly, and the fan in the bathroom was hanging from the ceiling. When I complained and asked for a switch, they agreed, but also said, well since you booked with Priceline you are only guaranteed a room. Kind of made me mad.”

• The hotel was nice enough, much like most beach hotels in Texas. Great amenities and location.

“The hotel itself had a lot of amenities and a nice view of the beach. The parking lot was crowded and hard to find a place to park. The restaurant was good, the outside bar and pool areas were nice. The housekeeping staff however was one of the worst I have seen. Overall, an ok place to stay.”

• Nice staff, good location.
• 4 Bus loads of kids, kind of run down and
  isolated.

“Great staff at front desk. Right on the water, but it has seen better days, it is in need of updating but it seems like it was once elegant. Tons of loud kids, not really the hotel's fault, but that clientele takes a tole.”

• The room was great.
• When I got there the power was out so I waited 4 hours to check in. And they were supposed to call when power came back on.

• Beach location.
• TV did not work well, wireless iInternet did not work well.

“The room was comfortable but the wireless internet was intermittent, at best. Housekeeping was great and the restaurant was okay for breakfast; didn't try any other meals there, though.”

“No heated pool, no hot tub, stolen clothes from room. Broke into auto at 5:00 pm daylight police showed up 7:30 am next morning and cameras in parking lot don't work. Management didn’t seem to care? I had wonderful time until Monday afternoon.”
