The Mark 8 Inn is a 62 room motel offering the ideal combination of convenience, accommodations and price. We are located just North of Wichitas central business district and one block from Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St Francis Campus. We are also only a few minutes from Old Cowtown Museum, the Kansas African American Museum, the Mid-American All-Indian Center, Museum of World Treasures, Exploration Place, Botonica Gardens, Old Town entertainment district, Ice Sports Wichita, Century II Convention Center and Lawrence Dumont Stadium. Each guest room is tastefully decorated and furnished with a refrigerator, oversized work desk and tub/shower in the bathroom. Local phone calls are free and the TVs have over 50 premium cable channels plus HBO. Data ports for internet connection, fax and copier services, non smoking rooms and guest laundry facilities are also available. There is ample free parking and free shuttle transportation to Via Christi Regional Medical Center.[less]

Able to cancel rooms.
Nasty (dangerous) part of town.

“As a musician, we carry lots of valuable instruments and gear. We did not end up staying at this hotel because of several warnings from locals regarding theft and crack-heads in that location. We were able to cancel the reservations and find more suitable and yet affordable rooms.”

The price.
Older, smelled, No room for movement. Bad area of town.

The hotel is centrally located. The room was clean and neat. The room has a refrigerator!
The hotel only has full beds.

“My wife and I were very pleased with the Mark 8. It was the best experience we've had for the price. The room and bed were small, but the room included a refrigerator, everything was clean, and the staff was very helpful. The hotel is in a slightly run-down part of town, but we loved the central location. The rooms are too small to bring kids, but it was perfect for the two of us.”
