• I liked the price of this hotel.
• There were no towels by the pool or a notice where they may be located.

“Overall this hotel was good. It seems a bit dated. There were no towels in the pool area so we had to use towels from our room. I would stay at this hotel again.”

• I'll know never to stay there again.
• Nasty, smelly, poor housekeeping (no mattress pad on one bed.)

“Our BB team was staying there and since my husband is on the school board at Walters, we decided to stay there also. My Red Hat group stayed there about 1 1/2 years ago, and we were pleased. Last night was just the opposite. It was smelly ( I bought room deodorizer but it couldn't overshadow the smell). When I turned down the bed linens on one of the beds there was no mattress pad, so we slept in the other bed. The under-covering on the bed springs was hanging on the floor and because the sheets did not fit well we ended up sleeping in a balled up mess of mattress pad and sheet. We left as soon as my husband awakened. We never even used the shower so I don't know its condition. I couldn't sleep as the odor in the room affected my asthma. The floor lamp next to the curtains needs a thorough cleaning. It's so sad to see a hotel that was once so nice deteriorate to such a state.”

“This hotel is alright if you are traveling with children, or pets. If you don't care for left over pet smell or children running up and down the hall all night long then I don't recommend this hotel.”

• Friendly staff, convenient location, clean despite hotels age.
• There was only one towel in my double occupancy room.

“I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I found the location to be convenient and the staff was very friendly. I stayed here with my wife for one night and we both agreed that it was a great value. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. I wouldn't really recommend it as a romantic getaway.”

• The many pools and bars, great for a weekend of fun!

• Inside pool, bar, and lots of rooms.
• Kind of aged. Needs more staff. Upkeep could improve.

“We've stayed in this hotel often. The first time was great. The second time was ok. The third was awe full, only because it was unorganized and bad timing. This last time wasn't too bad. It just has some issues with hallway carpeting and some aging, but overall, the stay was nice.”

• The layout and good location.
• I didn't like the hotel staff, very dull, not very quick on room service, not polite to children.

“I've stayed at this hotel before. I had a reasonably comfortable stay. This particular time, I didn't appreciate the way the staff handled certain situations concerning the work-out room and the room service. The bathroom wasn't equipped with all the necessary items needed for using it. But other than that the stay was good.”

• Location inside swimming pool.
• Old musty no towels at pool room cleaners no English.

“The main part of building is very nice but I was in farthest building old musty had to buy frebreeze because of room smell. We had three rooms all smelt musty. Old ugly stained couch met us at the door. This should have been removed. Staff friendly but dont speak English.”

• Did not provide shuttle to Remington, only to airport.

• It was nasty!

“We were very disappointed with our hotel. The room stank like it hasnt been used in years. The sheets and blankets were stained and had holes in them. We waited over an hour to get an extra pillow after calling 2 times, the bathroom looked horrible; the carpet was wet in spots (possibly causing the smell). We would not recommend this hotel to anyone; however they did have 3 pools and indoor pool which are unusual for a run down hotel.”

• Price! Pools are nice and location was great.
• Free breakfast was just donuts; rooms are older.

“This hotel was wonderful for the price. We would definitely stay there again. The lobby and all common areas were very nice and clean. The rooms just need to be updated / remodeled in our opinion. We had a king room that also had a hide-a-way love seat, glass coffee table, plus a little table and chairs and a desk. The free continental breakfast was just donuts for the most part. They also had coffee and Tang and some fruit. One of their restaurants offers a breakfast buffet for $5.95. Overall it was great - especially at that price! The location was great and easy to I-40 and shopping / restaurants. It is very close to the White Water park if people want to go there. The walk to Shorty Small's restaurant was quick and easy. (Their food is great and our kids loved it there). There is also an On the Border close by, as well as McDonald's.”

• Nice clean room for the money.
• Road construction made it hard to enter.

“Nice hotel for the money. Small refrigerator was nice but at the cost of a lamp. Very quiet for such a large motel. Exterior door to parking was a plus.”
