  • It is very beautiful and open.
  • It is under remodeling phase, but they only worked on it during the day.

“The breakfast was made to order! Everyone in the family got what they wanted. We all had our own bed to sleep on. The cocktails were great to wind down the day. We are going to start staying at embassy suites when we can.”

  • The pool.
  • In included breakfast was terrible.

“Not a hotel that includes anything for the price and not one I would use for business travel. Internet and local calls were not free. The breakfast area was over crowded and the food was cold, even the cook to order breakfast was barely warm. An oblate with a cold filling, cold potatoes and constantly ran out of the buffet items.”

  • Children enjoy the poi pond.
  • This hotel is dated and noisy in the rooms.

“This is an older Embassy Suites in a less than desirable part of town.”

  • Loved the fish in the ponds, great breakfast, loved the rooms and the pool tables.
  • Loved it all.

“The Embassy Suites is about my favorite hotel to stay in. It is always great. I love the made to order breakfast!! That is the best! The staff was so friendly, brought my brother a pillow just minutes after he asked for it. Fun hotel to go as a couple, or in a group. Loved it!”

  • Ease of check in and services. Accommodations excellent.
  • No receipt at the check out. All was "on line". I needed one for my business office's records.

“Excellent accommodations Excellent service. Very high quality treatment. I would not hesitate to use this service or this hotel again. Enjoyable and convenient to Austin & my needs on this trip to the state capital.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[5] • Location:[8]

  • The appearance of the lobby, pool and atrium. The way the rooms are set up with the Mexican villa feel.
  • The price for a room with two double beds, with tax came out to 152.00 . Not enough staff to man the breakfast counter.

“I liked all the free stuff you get, and the appearance makes you feel like you are on a vacation. We had a problem with check in. That was a little aggravating, it took several people to check it out and they still didn't get it figured out until the next day. I was worried the whole time that they were going to charge us twice.”

“The hotel was very nice and clean, when we walked in the room it smelled very fresh. The hotel staff were friendly and the location was convenient to where we needed to be. The rooms were spacious, especially for a group of 4. I would recommend this hotel”

  • The atrium was very pleasant.
  • The staff should have advised us that there was a junior basketball tournament the same weekend we were going to be there.

“It was an overall pleasant experience, however the amount of children running around made our stay somewhat annoying.”

  • As usual, hotel is well kept and clean.
  • Shuttle drivers were useless and they mis- charged my bill for food I didn't eat.

“Overall, I was very satisfied with this hotel considering it was very busy with both people attending a large festival and those evacuating from the Hurricanes.”

  • The hotel staff was excellent-great to have internet access!
  • The hotel seems a bit 'dated'.

“I was generally delighted with my stay at the Embassy Suites in Austin. The hotel staff was excellent, the rooms were spacious and very clean. I do think that the physical plant is showing its' age and that it should be time for some updating of the interior. But that would not keep me from going back!”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[6] • Location:[9]

  • The breakfast buffet is a nice feature, especially the omlettes cooked to order.
  • The evening managers reception consisted of Ritz crackers and popcorn and drinks, which is below the standard set by similar hotels (such as Drury).

“Overall, this is a decent hotel, with suites and a small kitchenette that would be useful for long stays. However, the rooms are somewhat worn out, and the overall quality does not merit a 3 star rating.”

  • the privacy and the hotel itself was beautiful
  • there was NOTHING negative about my stay.

“I probably looked bad when I checked in, but was treated as if I was an important guest. The room service was excellent and the quality of the hotel was more of a 4 star to me instead of a 3 star hotel. I have stayed in many hotels on my many trips to Austin. Including the downtown Hyatt and Embassy Suites, Four Seasons, etc. and this hotel was just as good if not better.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[9] • Location:[10]

  • The Manager Damian was friendly helpful and polite.
  • The night staff does not take action when there is a problem.

“We liked the hotel overall, great location, nice looking hotel, there was a wad of hair under our bedroom sink that was disgusting. The first night a car alarm went off outside our window from 3am to 7:30am. I called and suggested they tow the vehicle and they said they couldn't. They also do not have you register your vehicles out front. They wound up comping a dozen rooms. The last night we stayed the room next door turned his TV on at 3am and wouldn't turn it down. The night staff was very frustrating and not actively trying to run the hotel properly.”
