• Nice breakfast area.
• Has not been kept up. Room smelled musty. Carpets were old and lumpy. On its way downhill.

“We have stayed here in past years and found it sufficiently pleasant. This time it was more rundown, musty smelling. The laundry facilities were out of order. In general it just was no longer the place it once was. We'll look elsewhere next time.”

• Good size TV, working appliances, clean sheets & towels, coffee in room.
• Pool too close to lobby traffic & Hwy view.

“This was 2nd time we went to this hotel again. Very clean, good staff, all appliances work, got to have coffee in room, wide screen TV, inexpensive but who wants to stay in room all day when there's a beach. They have a good quick breakfast - Texas shape waffles.”

• Lots of amenities.
• Lots of noise late at night and musty smell in room.

“Great room with lots side items like refrigerator and flat screen TV. There was lots of noise late at night in hallways. There was a musty smell like moldy water in carpet. If they could take care of those 2 factors I would rate this hotel closer to a 3.”

• The bed was fairly comfortable.
• Room was on the small side.

“I thought that when I purchased the room, it was a 2 Queen room. The beds were full size. Knowing what I know now I would not stay here and would just get a room when I arrived and actually would have stayed on the beach in South Padre Island like I really wanted to.”

• More than expected, good appliance, very nice, good breakfast, good security.
• There was nothing, maybe brand of coffee.

“Hotel was more than we expected for the price. Had good security system, a plentiful breakfast-love the Texas shape waffles! The bath was clean & nice. Oh the appliance are a plus and (big) great TV. Would definitely return on next trip.”

• Smoking occurred in non-smoking hall.

“For the price and star level it was great. Helpful and friendly staff. Good continental breakfast!”

• I was put in a smoking room, and I am not a smoker. It stunk!

“Everything was good except I am a non-smoker and I was put in a stinking smoking room. There were no other non-smoking singles available and they would charge extra to upgrade me to a non-smoking double.”

• Small dirty rooms, cheap beds.

“Spend a few extra dollars and stay at a higher rated hotel in the area. This is a one star hotel can not expect much, but there are so many nicer available hotels in area.”

• Very convenient location.
• Rooms were dark.

“The location was excellent, right off the major freeway. It was central to many places, like the mall, restaurants, and the hospital. The staff was very friendly and was knowledgeable of the area when asked for directions. I loved that the hotel had a microwave, coffeemaker and refrigerator in the room.”

• I was in a handicapped room with four people. None of us are disabled.

• This hotel charges for extra for double beds. I have never had this issue before.

“I will not stay at this hotel again. They were not friendly The bath did not work properly and neither did the sink.”
