• The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room decor was nice and the bed was very comfy.
• The hotel did not have a complimentary breakfast.

“I travel to Austin a few times a year, and I would be happy to stay here again. The decor was up to date and the hotel was very clean. I love the warm cookies when checking in.”

• Excellent location with ease to downtown.
• Freeway noise.

“We enjoyed our stay at the Doubletree although the freeway noise was noticed all night long. However, the location was VERY convenient to the downtown area and UT so this annoyance was overlooked. The staff were very friendly and courteous. We loved the hot chocolate chip cookies we received on check-in!”

• Chocolate chip cookie; spacious, comfortable room.
• Shower was terrible, it was like trying to shower at a campground with a makeshift set up.

“Other than poor shower, the room was great. Clean, large, comfortable. Staff was attentive and polite. Had a Denny's next door for a quick, cheap meal.”

• Very clean, newly remodeled, very good help,big rooms.
• Pool was not clean, lots of workers remodeling the 2nd and 3rd floor.

• Super location to Austin's finest.
• Renovations at time of check in, temporary water shut-off.

“Great location. Museum 3-blocks, University of Texas Campus across the street. Capital building also close and in sight. 6th street 6$ taxi ride away. Awesome hotel for location and money spent. Also a Denny's built into the parking lot great for a bite to eat without being forced into a hotel meal.”

• Location off Freeway.
• No Continental breakfast - need my OJ in am!

“We really liked it and would like to stay there again. It was quite, provided bell carts and was easy to access off the freeway. The landscape grounds were beautiful too! We also went swimming and it was very nice and they provided towels at the pool. The ice machine on our floor was out of order. In fact, they only had one working (4th floor).”

• Very convenient.
• Unnecessary charges.

“Everything was great until we checked out. They said that we rented about 8 movies on the TV (which we didn't) in the middle of the night while we were sleeping. That equals 96 extra dollars worth of charges. Funny thing is that they said that we only watched the first 10 minutes of each movie! That's it!”

• Quick cab ride to downtown, helpful staff.
• Other side of highway to downtown.

“Once we asked to switch rooms everything was fine. The first was damp and manly feeling/smelling. No problems after that. Comfortable bed. Helpful staff.”

• The location is very convenient for shopping and business, and the hotel is undergoing a remodel to make it even nicer.
• Old tile in shower area with some calk issues.

“I've stayed at this hotel several times. It is conveniently located for business and shopping and is only a couple minutes from downtown Austin. I would stay here again for the quality and price.”

• In speaking with the staff they were very friendly and helpful.
• They need to update the rooms appearance.

“All in all, the hotel was great. Great location to go and see the city of Austin. With the Denny's located next door, breakfast was no problem. Loved it!”
