• The location.
• Black marker to cover up flaws on furniture, stains on carpet, mold on ceiling, shower doesn't drain, wall are stained.

“This hotel needs a complete make over to be considered a 3 star hotel. We stayed at the Renaissance and that was a 3 star if not it needs a higher rating. We didn't enjoy Holiday Inn not for business or a family vacation. Even Motel 6 went under renovations.”

• Reasonably close to convention facilities without being on the convention grounds.

“Clean. Good, not great. 3 stars based on location and condition. Hotel staff nearly tipped the scales to 2.5 stars because of failure (staff unwillingness) to provide a hotel checkout receipt.”

• The front of the house staff was nice.
• The front of the house staff was unable to get us a non-smoking room.

“Our room was terrible. It smelled as if people had been smoking in there for 40 years. We spent no time in the hotel areas. Indoor pool nice, but not our thing. I burned my lip on over microwave appetizer at the bar. Bar was crowded and understaffed. Hotel location was good for being close to Downtown, but far enough away to do some hiking.”

• It was rather quiet and out of the way.
• The furniture in the lobby is old, stained and cushions are rump sprung!

“The hotel staff was very helpful and cheerful. When I called for directions the receptions acted excited like she was expecting family! It was a nice feeling to be so welcomed.”

• After the first night, what did it matter?
• That Holiday Inn do not treat their customers right.

• The common areas were nice.
• The staff was rude and very unhelpful. The room was not worth the price.

“This hotel is not worth the price. The rooms looked like what you would find in a roadside motel and the service was terrible.”

• Great interior atrium area.
• Entrance was too difficult to locate.

“The hotel was up to par with good Holiday Inns, maybe better. But, the location was the most difficult to navigate in my many years of traveling.”

• Very hard to find. GPS helped.

“This hotel is a little upscale for a Holiday Inn, but attention to detail in public areas is not as good as it could be. Breakfast buffet was reasonable and good.”

• Staff was friendly.
• Hotel is not well maintained, very small pillows no beds.

“This hotel was overpriced and not well maintained. The pillows on the King size beds were "bite size". Bar and Grille was very overpriced and the food was ok at best. Breakfast buffet food was cold. Had a smoking room, but; the room had a very stall smell, no ventilation in the bathroom, nor in the rooms. Not able to open curtains on first floor because window looks into the commons area and dinning room overflow. Not able to open windows for fresh air. Will not stay in this Holiday Inn again.”

• Very friendly staff attentive to any needs.
• Restaurant if you had 6 people they charged you 15% extra I don't understand this.

“Nice clean lobby with a good pool which was both indoor and out room was adequate but the sofa chair could have been more comfy but not a big deal. They were very good with giving maps and instructions to any place you wanted to go. I would stay there again.”
