  • Location was awesome, staff very helpful and friendly.
  • Older oddly shaped rooms.

“Very safe, beautiful lobby, easy parking and quick in and out access. Rooms very clean, large closets, oddly shaped smaller bed area.”

  • The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

“ Upon arrival, the staff members were very helpful, friendly, genuinely interested in making your Austin experience fun. The room service was speedy, and the food was good and hot. The room was renovated and featured a great view of the state capitol. For the money, it was the best bang for the buck compared to the Hilton by the Austin Convention Center, the Marriott Courtyard, and the Hilton Garden Inn. Its location was great. From the hotel, the cab fare to the Warehouse District was less than $3 and located in walking distance to 6th street. ”

  • The building, the staff, the restaurant, the bar, the rooms. All are excellent.
  • $25 per night parking.

“I highly recommend this hotel. The staff, the rooms, the restaurant, and the public areas are all incredible. I actually look forward to my business trips to Austin because of this hotel.”

  • Comfortable, clean rooms and a great staff.
  • Valet is too expensive, hot tub was broken (I came for the hot tub).

“The Omni is great for business or leisure. It is quiet, clean, well-designed, and professional. This location is close to all of the fun in downtown Austin as well as government and business districts, but far enough away from 6th Street to keep away from the drunken revelers. The only complaint was that the rooftop spa was broken.”

  • If the room we got was too noisy for sleeping, they should have given us a different room and/or told us the room location had noise problems.
  • Way too much noise all night long from within the hotel and from street noise below our room.

“Do not make reservations or stay at this hotel until you throughly check out the room, its rate and its problems.”

    and clean room.

  • Well appointed!
  • Nothing.

“I loved this hotel, it was convenient, friendly service and treated me like I was a frequent guest!”

  • The room was very quiet facing the interior of the hotel.
  • The air conditioning did not work very well.

“We were upgraded to a junior suite, and it was very spacious and clean. The shower was great and there was a jacuzzi tub. The bed was comfortable with large pillows. The room was extremely quiet, since our room was facing the interior of the hotel lobby. Since the lobby is all glass, we had a view of the Capitol. It was very beautiful. The only problem was the AC did not cool the room very well, but it was not hot outside so it was bearable.”

  • The hotel itself had a very convenient location and was beautiful.
  • I was not informed of a parking charge but had to pay $18 a night & they would not take care of the parking even though I was never told that.

“The hotel was very nice with a great location in the heart of Downtown Austin. I was never told that there would be a charge for parking, I needed to just "swipe in and swipe out." Then I was charged $36 for two nights to park plus taxes and a service fee. I was extremely unhappy to be billed for something that was said to be posted in the garage. The garage holds both the hotel guests as well as business persons and visitors so the rates were unclear regarding hotel guests vs. the business portion of the hotel. Nonetheless I was made to pay for parking and left with a sour taste in my mouth. I enjoyed the hotel but not my checkout and closing experience.”

  • Staff was very helpful and professional.
  • The room was very outdated - certainly not a 4-star.

“The hotel staff was very professional. The public areas were very nice. However, when we got off the elevator to the room, I felt like I was in a different hotel. The carpet was badly stained and the room certainly didn't reflect the overall quality of the hotel. If you were to just rate the room, I feel it would be 2.0 to 2.5 at best.”

  • The staff was very friendly and the hotel very commendable.

“The hotel atmosphere was very inviting. The staff there went above and beyond. My husband and I were there for both business and pleasure in that I had a business meeting to attend to, but I was also able to take my husband since it was our anniversary. They helped us pick a nice restaurant for dinner, and even surprised us when we returned with a complimentary platter of fruit, cheese and wine. Everyone was very nice.”

  • Close to UT.
  • Too loud, next to 6th street. Rooms bland, expected more out of a 4 star.

“If you are staying at this hotel the parking should be part of the room rate. We will never stay here again!”

  • Room service was expensive.

  • The hotel staff was helpful and I enjoyed the pool.
  • Our room smelled like sewage.

“The hotel room was really nice, till we returned from dinner and it smelled like sewage. The hotel managers were very helpful in relocating us to a different room, and gave us a complimentary breakfast.”

  • You cannot beat the location of the hotel.

“The hotel was nice, but the service was not.”

  • Atmosphere was great, food was excellent, staff was
    great.
  • We would prefer that the shower head have more pressure.

“We enjoyed the location as it was great for all that we did. The hotel is very accommodating, the staff is very pleasant & professional & the restaurant is excellent.”

  • The lobby and the hotel attendants were nice and helpful.
  • The room that we got was not at all like the pictures on line and were in disrepair.

“When we got the we asked if they had smoking rooms the desk person said of course, we got into our room and it looked as though we had stepped back into the 1980's! We did not complain because we had plans that we wanted to go to right away, but if they are going to offer smoking rooms to customers they need to offer the same looking room that they offer to non-smokers. Smokers should not be punished.”

  • Hotel bar and great location.
  • Security was a pain when we wanted some friends to come visit.

“Nice hotel, some of the staff was great to deal with, others were not friendly at all, but for the price it was an amazing experience.”

  • Staff, including management were extremely attentive and informative about city sites

“The Omni far exceeded expectations on attentiveness to guests using Priceline. Staff went out of their way to help us with dining options, city sites, and making us feel welcome at the hotel.”

  • Close to 6th street, staff was professional and very friendly.

“Would recommend this hotel to friends. The staff made us feel welcome and eager to please. The room was up to date, clean and cozy. Housekeeping was excellent. Short walk to many places downtown. The only real downer was the pool, and having to pay for $19/day for parking.”
