“This was a crowded hotel during my stay and therefore, a bit noisy. I was given a 3rd floor room. I saw the same person in the check-in desk both at 8 pm and 10 am next day, and the staff look tired. The star level might be 2, at most 2 ½, but not 3. The restaurant seems expensive compared to the service given. However I would still recommend this hotel for business trips to Austin downtown and Convention Center region.”

“This hotel was a great location. It had great views of the lake, a beautiful pool view. I did request a king size bed, and full bed was all they had left. Also, we were told the shuttle would run at 1045 to 6th St, and when we went down to the lobby we were told it wasn't coming. Other than that it was a great hotel for money.”

“If you are spending one night, this is a good facility. Any longer than that and the room gets pretty small and the lack of drawers for clothes starts to wear on you. There is no water pressure to speak of in the showers, even a quick rinse takes a considerable time. Staff are friendly and try their hardest to please.”

“Hotel is right on I-35, making it convenient for travelers, and situated against Lady Bird lake, making it useful for joggers and walkers. Close proximity to Convention center, free shuttle from/to airport as well as Convention center (with prearranged scheduling).”

“The whole layout for this hotel is at an angle, the driveway is at a slant, and so on it goes lobby etc. The room we stayed in was in the round tower, so our room was like a slice of pie, triangle shaped, with the toilet being in the tip. There was very little space around the toilet and the toilet is in the closet. You have to walk through the closet to use the toilet! Also I didn't have a night stand, I had to use our suitcase to put my stuff on and it was a king bed, strange! What really got me, was on arrival, the toilet wasn't clean! A man had used it because the lid was up and all wet as well as the seat and floor. I wiped up as best I could and later that night I could see more of a substance on floor by the door jam, but we were in a hurry the next morning and silly me, I thought the maid would mop in there. NO! So I cleaned that up also. When I think about I wonder if the maid cleaned the room then the people left. I really wasn't entirely sure that the bed sheets were clean. I will not stay there again since we frequently visit Austin. The next night we stayed at a La Quinta and I felt much more at home in their room that was quite a step down from this place. The receptionist wasn't very friendly either. The morning we left my husband went to put the key in the box there were several personnel standing at the desk and no one said anything to us, not a 'hello' or a 'thank you for staying with us', nothing. Our room was near the coke and ice machines and they were loud. The TV was on a nice looking cabinet, but the drawers for the clothes were the size of a side desk drawer, like 8x11x3tall, so we kept our clothes in the suitcase. Also that wall went away from the bed at an angle, so we had to adjust the TV so it would face the bed. I ate breakfast at the desk since I didn't have a night stand and the maid didn't clean the glass. There was a padded headboard against the wall, so that was comfy, so didn't bang head.”

“Provided a place to sleep but nothing special after that. The restaurant was unfriendly (staff). Very slow service there as well. Sort of dirty looking on the floors but the room was clean enough. Hated being on the freeway and not really accessible to downtown Austin on foot which I thought it would be.”

“Pleasant and quiet since it's not in the heart of downtown, which is a long walk or short drive away. Excellent river access. My view left something to be desired (parking lot and freeway), but the price was right and the room was clean. I hope they plan to install flat-screen TVs. That's my only serious beef.”

“We had two adults and one child. The room was great for our overnight stay. However, a longer stay may have been a little uncomfortable. We were located in the round tower and the lay out of the room made it impossible to use the bathroom area without lighting up the entire room. The rooms in the other towers may not have the same problem. I would be happy to stay here again.”

“The staff was very friendly. The hotel looked very nice, but having read they remodeled I did not find that it seemed as if they did. Our view was nice, but the size of the room for us to get ready for a wedding was crowded. I would not mind staying for business or under other circumstances.”

“This would be a great hotel to stay for 2 or 3 night's, but any longer you would not have space for your clothing. The first night we were their was the Austin Relay and our room was very noisy, we reported this to the front desk and were told their was nothing they could do. The rest of our stay was quiet.”

“Good location. Centrally located. Friendly staff. But don’t expect a great room. Certain rooms in this hotel are nice. But the standard room is nothing too spectacular.”

“Overall the hotel was nice for our purposes, a quick weekend trip. The bed was comfortable and the in-room amenities, like a mini fridge and microwave, were nice. I would stay here again.”
