“ The most important elements of a hotel stay, I think, are a comfortable bed and friendly, helpful staff. This hotel was definitely 5 stars in these essential elements. Couldn't ask for more. Avoid the breakfast bar because the offerings are less quality than you would find at the lowest priced roadside motel offering a breakfast bar. Perhaps ordering from the menu is a better experience at this hotel. ”

“Mediocre choice for high end hotel in the middle of Austin.”

“The room was a bit small, but the comfort of the bed made up for it. I had an unusual circumstance where I had to be taken from the hotel by ambulance and have to say that the staff went above and beyond expectations. I would highly recommend the hotel.”

“Valet parking was another $27. There was a perfume smell in 2 rooms I was allergic to, so we had to leave a window open.”

“Parking is overpriced and because of the location downtown there is not much to park somewhere else. It seemed like the hotel was taking advantage of the situation. Let's face it, $27 for Valet parking and not self parking.”

“This was a beautiful hotel with excellent service and staff. I took my granddaughter to visit the capital building and she felt so pampered and special in this hotel. They were courteous and helpful. Security is great here too.”

“The hotel is nice, but please plan on bringing extra cash. Parking cost 25 dollars a day, the internet is 10.95 a day. Its not business traveler friendly, its more of a get way with the wife type place.”

“Not a 4 star hotel
becausse they market their hotel
at a price & then don't offer the ammenities needed. We needed double beds for our stay but weren't offered
at the same price. The upcharged us another $40 for doubles. They said that's how they compete
with everyone by offering only a king & not doubles. The so called pool was a joke. Absolutely worthless. Plus the parking was about $30 as well. So the overall value of this purchase was very poor. I could of stayed
at a resort style hotel & paid full price for what I got
at this hotel. very dissapointed!”

“The rooms are very comfortable. The TV was a little old. There were too many homeless people and vagrants near the hotel. There were few open restaurants near the hotel on a Sunday after 9 pm. The WiFi internet was way too expensive ($6.95/hour or $10/day).”

“The hotel was fantastic for a romantic weekend, but being on business I really needed more space and bed accommodations.”

“If you need to be downtown and prefer an older hotel then this is the place for you. Small lap pool, hot-tub, sauna, and exercise equipment in the basement were quite nice. Rooms are showing their age. Internet is extra. TVs are old.”

“The location is great for activities in the downtown area. No in/out parking. No free WIFI. Rooms seem small compare to U.S. standards.”
