• Was able to check in early, the pool was open and clean, the bellhop was excellent.
• Rooms were a little smaller than I expected.

• Great Gym.
• Entire night without water, burst pipe, shower in am at different hotel.

“They had a plumbing problem where a pipe burst in the early evening (about 7-8 pm). At 4 am the next morning, I still had no water and if I did not call the desk, I would not have known. I had early appointment and had to go to nearby hotel to shower. Only thing the hotel offered was free breakfast, no compensation on the room. This is how a 4 star hotel responds?”

• Location, restaurant, friendly staff.
• Hot tub was cold, always, hotel under renovations, changed rooms because first room was dirty.

“Location was perfect for great restaurants, viewing the bats, activities on town lake, specialty shopping, etc. Hotel restaurant was expensive, but excellent. Wait staff was slow. Outdoor hot tub was cold, as cold as the outdoor pool. Too cold to sit in. We checked it several times. Our first room had wet carpet everywhere (?) And the TV remote didn't work (which means TV didn't work because the only controls were on the remote), but the hotel staff cheerfully gave us a different room so it turned out just fine.”

• Room service price.

“We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. We had requested a king size bed, but when we got there they had all been taken. The front desk clerk offered to upgrade us to a Riverview room which was wonderful. We loved the location and the flat screen TV.”

• Pay for parking, internet in room & business center.

“Located fairly close to the airport, well within walking distance to many of Austin's notables. Friendly, helpful staff for the most part.”

• The location was great and the riverside view was fantastic!
• Still under renovation.

“The rooms were very nicely furnished and the bed was extremely comfortable. I would have liked the bathroom to be a little bigger but I understand that it is an older hotel which they are doing an amazing job of updating. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and will stay there again.”

• River view.
• Hotel charged for parking, I was not told this upon check-in. Rooms are too small.

“Hotel has been recently renovated but the rooms are small, typical of hotels built in the 1970's. I have stayed at this hotel a few times but this is the first time that I was charged for parking. View of downtown Austin is nice. There are much newer hotels in Austin now that have rooms that are twice as big. I will no longer stay this hotel again.”

• Newly renovated and in a great location!
• At 4:00 PM there was still a breakfast tray with oatmeal left in the hallway.

“We had a great time! I would recommend this hotel.”

• Rooms are redone and nice.
• Pay for internet, under construction, expensive food & drink prices.

“This hotel is under construction, and while the rooms are nice, the rest is substandard. No free internet, even in the lobby - give us a break! Staff is mediocre. Very expensive bar prices. Good, Central location. New, nice gym.”

• Comfy, clean, quiet room, view of the lake, self parking.
• Public area under remodel construction.

“Good location on the lake, great view, out door jogging trail along the lake. Town lake boat trip leaves from near by. Self parking available not very expensive to self park. Newly remodeled rooms, fresh, clean with flat screen TV.”

• Room was an unexpected surprise after seeing lobby.
• Male oriented decor was a turnoff, seemed dated.

“Really enjoyed room very comfortable bed and bath. Close proximity to bat bridge and lake were nice. Walking distance to several restaurants without being "overwhelmed" with Austin bar scene. Cons: hotel under construction, pounding and construction noise during my stay.”

“I am a single parent and I took this little get away from my 3 boys. It was very relaxing, and I enjoyed the stay completely. I almost missed my trip that weekend but the hotel staff really accommodated me to make my experience and trip worth while.”

• Limited access by foot.

“We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was beautiful & the staff friendly. Due to road construction, access was limited and the entrance was poorly marked and access by foot was tricky.”

• The room was decorated very nice! Flat screen TV, and an IPO dock!
• We requested that chocolate strawberries be in our room when we arrived and they were not. It took 20 minutes for them to arrive once we asked a 3rd time.

“The lobby is under construction, so it is not the classy entrance/lobby I expected. But the room was really nice, modern and gorgeous! The staff was helpful. We will return.”
