• Great location, free shuttle to/from airport and free parking for travelers.
• Internet did not work and staff did not try to fix the situation. Toilet was dirty. No laundry facility.

“This hotel would be great if the customer service was better. I felt like I was on my own as soon as I checked in to the room; the internet did not work and I needed it for business, but the staff did not try to fix the problem. Instead they passed me off to the internet service provider, who I spent 1.5 hours on the phone with before learning that they would not even try to fix the problem until the next day.”

• Beautiful pool, nice bed.
• Next to busy highway, noisy.

“Overall a very nice hotel with a picturesque pool. However it is next to a busy highway and our room was very noisy. Additionally we were put in a smoking room against our wishes.”

• Did not fulfill the requested reservation.

“Your customer service has already handled this for me. When I arrived at the hotel on April 18th, I was told that my room was no longer available and that the only thing the hotel could offer was a conference room with a pull down Murphy bed. After arriving in the room, I called the hotel front desk to request any other accommodations, including those at any nearby hotels. I was told that was impossible. When I pressed the staff and ask for the hotel manager, I was told that the only thing that could be done was to provide breakfast vouchers for the next morning. I feel that Omni is guilty of misrepresentation of its product to third party reservation companies. If not, I encourage the Omni corporate staff to invite their significant other to share a night together in an Omni conference room on the Murphy bed.”

• Business/computer services were extra cost.

“The accommodations were clean and spacious. Along with a helpful and pleasant staff, the Omni was perfect except one would expect that internet access and some common business services would be no charge. I have only had one other upscale hotel charge for these. Other than that fact, the stay was pleasant.”

• The convenience of the hotel to our business and the interstate.
• The bath tub was holding water, when I arrived. It did go away that day.

• It was elegant and classy.
• No microwave or refrigerator, small rooms compared to much cheaper hotels.

“I'm not sure if this survey is about the Omni hotel or the Radisson in Austin. Stayed in both over a two day period. Experience about the same in both, with the Omni being more upscale then the Radisson. Disappointed about the size of rooms and ammenities.”

• They sold my guaranteed room and put me on a sofa bed!

“I knew I would be late coming to the hotel so I called in to tell them and to make sure they were holding my room. When I arrived around 10pm, the room had been sold and they put me in a room without a bed - only a sofa bed. Why didn't they hold a room for me?”

• Very Friendly Staff, Easy on the Eyes, Comfortable.
• The room we had had a door to the next room, it was locked, but creepy.

“While speaking to the extremely staff, I had mention in conversation it was my birthday the day of my stay. When I arrived at the hotel, the escorted my bags to my room, and there on my desk was a piece of chocolate cake with a candle in it. Although I am a diabetic, I still appreciated the sentiment. Later that night, they called a cab for me and my friends to go to sixth street, and had a cab meet us at three in the morning. Overall, a great hotel to stay at.”

• Good location, well appointed room, lovely pool area.
• Pool is listed as heated-not really, prices in gift shop ridiculous, even for a hotel.

“Very well appointed upscale hotel. Convenient location. Friendly and courteous staff. Nice pool, although it is not really heated - much too cold to enjoy even when it was 80 degrees outside. Bedding and pillows were wonderful. However, plan to spend $5 for a bottle of water (seriously) and $2 for a bottled soda - no coke machines so you're stuck with the overpriced gift shop.”

• Not the hotels fault, too many freeways but that's what makes it convenient.

• The rooms were very clean & the beds were the most comfortable beds ever!
• We were absolutely pleased with every aspect of our stay at the Omni!

“We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. The beds were so comfortable & covered with very comfy down comforters & several sizes of down pillows that made you sink into the beds at night! Very impressive & worth the money! The hotel staff was very friendly & we hope to stay here every time we visit family in Austin!”
