• Dirty lobby and moldy bathrooms.

• Convenient location, right off I-35.
• Clerk was not very friendly. She was more concerned about her TV show then checking me in.

• Location to where I was attending.
• Commode leaked onto floor, iron burn marks on chair, black feet from carpet.

“This was probably the absolute worst hotel I have ever had the dis-pleasure of paying for. I travel quite a bit in my business and I will never stay at this particular hotel again. I would rather sleep in my truck. If I would have had an option I would have checked out as soon as I saw the condition of this room.”

• It was convenient.
• It was in major need of updating in rooms and repairs on the outside.

“This hotel was convenient and mostly clean, but in need of updating. The outside looks much worse than the rooms. The breakfast was very poor, only bagels, coffee, and orange juice.”

• It was close to the freeway.
• The front looked like it had been abandoned.

“The exterior of the hotel needed repair. I had trouble finding the office. Some of the rooms had draperies in disrepair. It appeared the hotel was going through some kind of renovation. The side and back parking lots did not appear safe. Definitely low budget look. Not inviting.”

• Location, friendly staff, easy on to expressway, and off the express way.

“Good location, restaurants very close and San Marcos mills close by about 5 minutes away what more do you want. You can tell we love to shop.”

• Quiet place big pool, nice to have iron and hair dryer.
• Air-conditioner could be better small beds.

“We got our money's worth. Place was clean. Staff was nice. Beds too small though. It was nice they had an iron and a hair dryer. Our kids enjoyed the big pool. Place was quiet and decent.”

• Location was the only thing that was good.
• Musty, in need of repair, not well kept.

“Upon entering the lobby we were met with a cloud of cigarette smoke. Immediately we decided not to eat the complimentary breakfast the next morning as the lobby is connected to the breakfast are. We were given rooms in the back where it was quite dark and not visible to anyone on the street. The lawn was over grown. The lights in our room were not plugged in so it was dark when we entered the room. The toilet literally tilted when you sat on it. The room was musty. The AC worked and the beds were clean and comfortable enough, but I will never stay in a Rodeway Inn again.”

• Nothing. It is old and has not been kept up. It was a last resort as all the other hotels in san Marcos were full.
• It is old and not maintained well.

“The roadway inn must be the oldest motel in san Marcos. It is large, but it is fairly obvious that it is not used often. Many of the rooms had not been cleaned by the time customers wanted to check in, even after 3 p.m. There was no hand soap in the room. It was difficult to find the office to check in. Definitely my last time to stay there.”

• Central located easy to get in/out off.
• Large work crews staying there with equipment/trailers workers standing around looking homeless.

“Was cheap stay but very unpleasant to stay with family and to worry about all the men standing around in parking lot and soda machines just talking. Large work crew staying with all the big company trucks, trailers, equipment. It¿s a hotel not a construction yard. All men either were working for them or looking for work. I don't know?”

• It was locate very close to my destination.
• The hotel was very poorly upkept.

“This hotel was very run down it was not as I expected at all I was worried for my daughters safety the whole trip. There were no sanitary ice machines it was kept in a cooler in the lobby. The continental breakfast was very unclean and in the main lobby were you check in. I will never use this hotel again even though it was very close to my destination while I was there.”

• Nothing. Hotel staff was unfriendly and unwilling to help w/ any frustrations!
• Not as promised with missing amenities.

“The hotel was not family friendly with people drinking in the parking lot and with false advertising about the amenities. There was no coffee maker or alarm clock in the room.”

• Room was filthy, unstacked (not even a clock) much less coffee pot, refrigerator, etc towels were paper thin.

“Dirty, poor quality in all aspects, things in couch and bed from prior guests, nothing in room as expected from ad (clock, coffee pot, frig) tiny TV, desk clerk was new and tried to be helpful with what she was able, pool dirty, cloudy. I will never stay there again, and since my daughter is going to be going to college in San Marcos for the next 4-6 years, I will be spending a lot of time there.”
