• The night clerk was very nice!
• Manager.

“I booked a room with 2 queen beds. Upon arrival I was given a room with one 1 bed that was not a queen. I went down to the front desk and explained it to the clerk, (who was very nice) that this was not the correct room and that it had no phone, and no curtains on the window, (just paper taped to it) After much uncertainty, she was able to change our room, informing us that there would be AC that would not work too well and possibly a fan in the room to help circulate air. The desk clerk made the change of rooms for me. The manager was very disrespectful, arrogant and did just not care about patrons. Simply put, he was not a nice person nor was the hotel he is operating! Additionally, all the exterior doors were unlocked, the wall paper was falling off the walls, the ice machines had black slime on them. The complementary shampoo was half full and we had coffee with no coffee maker, shingles were flying off the roof through the parking lot when I left in the morning and on, and on, and on. The hotel specs stated that each room came equipped with refrigerators and coffee makers, they must have been hidden under the bed or something, because I certainly did not see them.”

• Close to Ballpark.
• Rude Staff charged for nights you do not stay.

“Hotel overcharged by one night and I am fighting to get them to return the money. I have to go through their corporate offices which will take awhile. Manager of the hotel is extremely rude and is only helpful until you say you have a problem. Please do not ask for extra towels or tell them they overcharged you. They will bite your head off. Totally unsatisfied with this hotel and would never recommend it to anyone.”

• Not much to say. I would not recommend it to anyone.
• I did not like the pool party at 1:30 in the morning nor the fact that I paid 99.00 for a room that wasn't cleaned the 2nd day.

• The Mexican restaurant is the only positive about this place.
• Everything.

“This hotel is terrible. Stayed there for almost a week with our softball team. After returning home we received an extra $90 charge on our credit card - called the hotel three times and were told they would look into and call us back, they never did. We sent all receipts to the corporate office who is sending us a check for the extra charge and will be back charging and issuing a fine to the hotel. As far as the facilities, this hotel is badly out dated. Rooms are dark, dingy, and good luck if you want any extra towels (which you'll need because they don't provide enough). The breakfast was horrible - we had one of our party cut open an apple only to find it full of green mold. The hotel is not close to anything - choose one of the nicer places by the mall in Hutchinson.”

• They allowed a large group to gather in the pool area and allowed us to use the breakfast room for a gathering.
• The pull out couch was uncomfortable and had no bedding, needed to track someone down late at night.

“This hotel has seen better days. The staff was pleasant but not particularly helpful. The towels were threadbare.”

• Pool.
• Staff was incompetent. Made lots of mistakes.

“My family and I checked out after one night. I had confirmation numbers for two rooms - hotel only had one room reserved for me. They gave me two rooms; however, failed to enter the 2nd room into the computer and rented the room to someone else in the middle of the night. We awoke to someone trying to enter our room. Other mistakes were made but that was the most serious. Would not stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone. I will be writing a letter to Best Western to let them know of my displeasure with their service.”

• Quiet, clean, good value.
• A bit far away from most attractions in the town.

“Price was much better for the quality than others I checked out. Lobby is attractive. A bit further away from business area but nothing is too far away. Good value.”

• Relatively close to all areas of town.
• Unfriendly Evening staff, and unresponsive to requests.

“I have stayed at many Best Western hotels on business travel. I selected BW for personal travel on this occasion and found this experience to be the worst I've encountered. The unfriendly evening front desk staff (however not all staff members were unfriendly, only the elderly lady). The hotel was clean, however some areas lacked attention (hallways), beds were worn out and uncomfortable. When visiting Hutchinson in the future, I may consider this hotel.”

• Location.
• Noise levels, rooms near pool have no windows. Kids screaming in pool until after 10 PM and at other times.

• Friendly staff, especially the shuttle drivers.
• There was a charge for everything, including the free Internet.

“Excellent, convenient location. The Harbor side Grill bar was extremely expensive, and there was a charge for their "free" Internet Staff was friendly but wanted $40/night to move our room from one side of the hall to the other because the view would be improved. Fantastic view at night. I would stay there again, but would expect to pay more than what I had thought was necessary.”
