• Very clean bathroom and good bed.
• I saw a large cockroach. I put it outside.

“Major construction happening at this hotel, but it did not interfere. Room was very clean. I know cockroaches are common in this part of the US so I was not surprised to see one. The room was a handicap room and very large. Very good staff.”

• Conveniently located to meet my needs for arrangements.
• Freshly painted room which caused discomfort due to strong odor.

• Good value for the area and clean.

“This hotel was the best value for the area - close to touristy areas, one of the lowest costs and newer hotels in the area. We found it clean, continental b-fast was fine and staff was freindly. Nice beds too - looked new.”

• The room and bath was big and the breakfast food and dining area and food service pitchers, dishes, counters etc. were kept very clean.
• Pillows were not real great.

“We very much enjoyed our visit. The room and beds were very nice with a flat screen TV, refrigerator and microwave. My bill was as expected with no added charges. Staff gave my grandson a new tooth brush when he lost his. I was really impressed with how clean the breakfast area was kept. It was a very pleasant and convenient stay.”

• Awesome bed in room. I have never had a bed that didn't hurt me before. Perfect for our large family.
• No elevator and the bathroom kept locking when it bumped on the wall. We had to put a phone book behind the door.

• Smelled like smoke in a non-smoking room.

“Conveniently located near water park attractions. Other than the fact our non-smoking room smelled like smoke, it was a good experience.”

“Overall was a very good experience. We had a suite with a king bed and a pull-out sofa. Enough room for a family of 4. The staff was friendly and the free-breakfast was good. It was in good proximity to area attractions. I would go to this Best Western again.”

• Very nice for low budget motel. Good free continental breakfast.
• Nothing.

“Highly recommend this hotel. Clean, nice staff, good breakfast, good pool and very warm hot tub. Staff was very accommodating. Rooms were more like a hotel than a motel. Has interior and exterior rooms.”

• Breakfast is not as long as stated in their literature.

“Without the drunks next door, the stay would have been better. The beds, however, were completely worn out. Manny, the night manager was so friendly and helpful. Great customer service can help me overlook many things.”

• Convenient, liked the Texas shaped waffles.
• Needed more seating in the dining area at breakfast.

“Really enjoyed staying at this hotel, the staff was friendly; room was clean and close to both Schlitterbahn and Gruene. Breakfast was a big hit with my two boys.”

• Reasonable rates; accommodating staff.
• Lack of landscaping; not scenic around hotel at all; pool surroundings need to be more attractive, and should obscure the freeway and parking lot view.

“Room was clean, and the staff was accommodating, especially the managers. When we wanted to stay another night on a busy holiday weekend, they found us a room not far from our original room, so we didn't have to lug our things very far. My only complaint is that this hotel is on a freeway service road, surrounded by ugly concrete parking lots. Wish they would plant some trees; install a fountain, especially around the pool.”

• Helpful and friendly staff. Nice pool and hot tub. Easy access from roads.
• No fitness room as advertised. Rooms were a little humid. No elevator.

“If you want a no-frills clean place to stay while you are enjoying the river parks, this is a nice place. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the motel location is convenient. Breakfast is simple continental”

• Front desk clerk was extremely helpful and pleasant!
• The only non-smoking room on the 1st fl. Had an ashtray and was for handicap.

“The front desk clerk was extremely helpful and pleasant. The lobby is spacious and attractive as well as comfortable. The price is very affordable. The availability of 1st. Floor non-smoking rooms is very limited.”

“I did not love or hate this hotel. It was a little overpriced compared to other hotels of this quality simply because it was close to Schlitterbahn. Compared to other hotels in this area, it was comparably priced. The hotel was efficient and friendly, and I was generally pleased with my stay.”
