  • Staff was great.
  • Beds were bad. The room smelled. The room did not have a good feel to it.

“Not worth my time.”

  • Great location, resonable price.
  • Could have been a little bit nicer.

“Great location, convenient to most things in San Antonio. For the price the rooms are reasonable but no frills.”

  • Location.
  • Wireless Internet was not available unless you were a premium customer.

“Staff worked well with us, we had reserved the wrong date, but they got us a room. Was disappointed that even though wireless was advertised, one of the reasons I chose the hotel, we would have had to pay for it.”

“It was okay for the price.”

  • The location and the price.
  • Restroom to small as well as the toilet was too low.

“I would recommend this hotel as friendly and centrally located. As well as priced excellent!”

  • They accepted pets. It's close to the River walk.
  • Broken security latch, shower fixtures broken,no breakfast

“The hotel did not look clean and maintenance apparently is not high on their list. Of the three ice machines, only one worked and outside with temps over 100, one was not adequate. No Continental breakfast was offered, or if there was it was gone by 8am. Beer bottles were strewn outside the side door and did not get picked up that day. Location was its best feature.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[2] • Location:[2]

  • It was short walk to Alamo Plaza and Rivercenter Mall.
  • Many things broken, no help from front desk, it was not very clean, not best location.

“Breakfast wrapped muffin, maybe fruit. They don't restock it, get there early. There were two coffee makers, and out of that one broken. Rooms clean in center, not vacuumed around furniture. Front desk didn't answer phones when called, nor were they helpful in locating a fork for take out dinner or a place to charge digital camera. 1st day no running water for several hours, most days very little hot water for showers. Alarm clock was broken. Pool closed in afternoon to add water when it was 102 degrees out. AC very loud and must run constantly. 8 minute walk to Alamo, but get back before dark, walking a bit unsafe. Ice machines and vending machines don't work. We would not stay here again.”

  • Nicely located. Basically clean. Quiet enough.
  • Breakfast was over by 8:30. Didn't look like it was much from what baskets they must have used.

“Family and pet friendly. Basically clean. Staff pretty friendly and helpful. Close to downtown. Provides breakfast but not very long or much.”

  • Convenient location to Riverwalk.
  • Took 1 hour to check in (Memorial Day weekend), also there was a false fire alarm at 2 am.

“Overall fairly clean, and adequate. We just wanted a reasonably priced hotel near the Riverwalk. The towels are really thin and rough, they give you little packets for shampoo and I am glad I brought my own toiletries. I wish the breakfast was more substantial - they had little muffins and juice and coffee. They were not well prepared for the Memorial Day crowds and it took me an hour to check in.”

  • Clean.
  • Not safe to walk to at night, air conditioner very noisy.

“This hotel over priced, and the staff couldn't be bothered if you were there or not.
very clean
however and fair location, except don't be out to walk to the hotel at night, very scary.”

  • Walking distance to the Riverwalk. Nice staff.
  • Glad I wasn't alone, because I didn't feel very safe and it just didn't meet my "Priceline" expectations.

“Most of the hotel staff were pretty friendly. Some of the carpets were stained and noise was easily heard through the halls and walls. The breakfast didn't have alot of choices and ran out of muffins EARLY EVERY MORNING. The beds were not very comfortable, however, the room we stayed in was clean. I guess when we pulled into the parking lot and it looked like a 2 star hotel and then entered and realized it was of 1 star quality, we were very disappointed. I must mention that it was nice being walking distance to the Riverwalk and Rivercenter Mall.”

  • It was clean and about 1/2 mile from main attractions.
  • I did not feel real safe walking back to the hotel.

“Nice hotel for the money. The only thing that I didn't like was the location. Although it was close to main attractions, the 1/2 mile walk was a little deserted and under the freeway.”

  • We liked the spacious room, convenience to the Downtown area and the local attractions.

“The Red Roof Inn was excellent for location and cleanliness. I would highly recommend it for family and business travelers alike.”

  • Noisy, next to a train track where the train blairs its horn for 2-3 minutes as it passes through.

“The staff was friendly and helpful but the room I stayed in was next to an elevator and it was noisy. Also the hotel was close enough to train tracks when the train came through it sounded its horn for 2-3 minutes more often than I would liked to have heard it especially in the evening. I would not recommend this hotel.”

  • It was in a good location for why we were there and affordable.
  • Parking issorta cramp due to location and drive hard to enter when busy.

“All in all very nice place to stay.”

  • Free parking, clean room.
  • Broken garage door, broken garage swing gate.

“Room very sparse, for example Kleenex packet instead of a box, and garage door in disrepair. Will give it credit for being clean and quiet, though.”

  • The heaters stunk up the room. Loud neighbors at 3 am that weren't dealt with.

“This place is by train tracks, so you hear trains all night. The heaters and air conditioners are antiquated and not kept up properly.”

  • Location, cleanliness, price, free parking, comfortable beds.
  • Would stay there again.

“Pleasantly surprised. Especially with the location and walking-distance closeness to the Alamo, Riverwalk, shopping, and myriad restuarants.”
