  • Best location for the price.
  • Bathroom was very tiny and cramped.

“If you are not seeking a more luxury place to stay, it is ideal for its proximity to the River Walk, Hemisphere Park, the Mall and Alamo as they are all within easy walking distance. Was also able to leave the car on the parking lot after checking out to do some more walking downtown.”

  • The security guard was nice and helpful.
  • Room smelled like mildew, was filthy, the bath towels had disgusting stains, was not cleaned well at all.

“The room smelled horribly of mold and mildew. The room was something you would expect in a 70's horror film! it truly was an unpleasant experience. The security guard was very nice and helpful, did appreciate him. Otherwise just a rotten experience, will never stay there again. Luckily I was only in the room to sleep a few hours each night. I know they couldn't pass a cleanliness inspection! I bought a set of sheets and pillow for my stay once I saw how filthy it was.”

  • It was affordable and not too far from the attractions.

“The hotel was fine and the staff great but the other attendants were there to party and having 2 children with me wasn't all that good due to the people were loud and talked very vulgar late at night.”

  • Great location and view.
  • No coffee mugs. I hate paper cups for coffee.

“I was very please with my room, but might have been upgraded to a 3rd floor Garden View due to my Star wood Gold Preferred Membership. After the 1st night I used points to upgrade to ocean view 11th floor. The view was awesome. Beds are very comfy and robes are provided. Great view overall from the Lania once we moved to 11th floor. Great facility. Nice adult pool and evening entertainment.”

  • Great location, service was good.
  • Bathroom tile stained and cracked.

“This is really a one-story motel with parking right outside the door. Free breakfast was adequate but lobby very small. Room was clean but bathroom shabby. Walking distance to river center mall, River Walk, and Alamo. Right off the freeway.”

  • The remodel looks great!
  • I hope the bath tubs are next in the remodel.

“Very easy to locate, good safe parking. Convenient to Alamo and the River Walk. I hope the bathrooms are complete next year when we come back. Good value! Great room. I have seen this property before the remodel and it looks great!”

  • Location.
  • Housekeeping staff & other employers did not make me feel safe when my ring was taken from my room! Bad customer service!

“The hotel room was ok except for the bathroom tub. It was filthy! The TV set did not work properly. I had my ring taken from my room. Believed to be the housekeeper who was totally acting suspicious. It was obvious she took it but I can't accuse anyone w/o evidence! It was a bit frustrating and I will never allow room service in my rooms again. No customer service whatsoever! I will never return there again & will let my friends & family know not to say there.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[7] • Location:[7]

  • Looked good, friendly staff, basic needs was met, walking distance to the river walk.
  • Crickets seem to be a problem at this time of year, but they did nothing to help with that. Crickets came into the room through the bottom of the door.

“All basic needs were met. Good place if you aren't looking for luxury. Nice looking room. It was very nice to be able to walk to the river walk. My stay would have been much more comfortable had the cricket problem been dealt with better. It seems that San Antonio has cricket problems at this time of year, which is fine, but the hotel should try harder to keep them out of the rooms. There was nothing keeping them out (the bottom of the hotel door had an opening to let them in so we had to put towels down to keep them out). We had to catch multiple crickets in our room and throw them out before we felt comfortable sleeping. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.”

  • Location and price for the location.
  • Split complex, we were in the complex without the swimming pool.

“For the location, price and cleanliness of the rooms it is a good place to stay. Very close to the Alamo, Ripley's, river city mall and river walk. I didn't use my car the whole time I was there. Free parking is a major plus, since a lot of hotels there charge for it.”
