“We took a little anniversary trip without our daughter, and it was one of the best times we have ever had together. We loved the location, because although it was not directly on the river walk, it was close enough to walk less than 5 minutes I would say to get the Rivercenter Mall. There were lots of bars down the street as well. It was not very hard to find, next to the Days Inn, across from Alamo parking, and off of I-35. But you couldnt hear much noise from the Interstate. The only draw back was our cardkeys kept deactivating and the staff told us it was because our cell phones were too close to the keys. Then our room door battery went out, but the staff was very prompt to fix it. Also, when we first arrived the air conditioner was accidentally off and we couldnt find out how to turn it on, but the staff responded very quickly and came to see the problem. Apparently the maid might have switched the reset button on the very bottom of it, but it worked after that. We were just so happy to have been there alone having so much fun, to worry about those little problems. It was a great hotel and a great trip. I recommend this hotel to friends and family.”

“They are very disorganized. They put us in the wrong room. When I told them we wanted the right room, the gentleman at the front was very rude. It asked me if I had peed in the restroom or laid on the bed and messed it up. I told him I was only in the room for one second before I realized it was not my room. So very rude.”

“The hotel staff at the Hampton was incredibly friendly and courteous. From the desk clerks to the custodial and maintenance personnel, they always greeted us and went overboard to meet any needs we had. Far beyond the normal!”

“This hotel is a jewel in the middle of downtown San Antonio. It is located within walking distance to the convention center and river walk. The beds were to die for and the rooms were sound proofed. The shower was excellent. The water was delicious. The bathroom was upscale and shiny clean. It felt brand new. The breakfast had a wide variety between fruits, cereals, pastries, muffins, and a warm food like French toast or biscuits and gravy that changed daily. I really enjoyed my stay at this Hampton. I have stayed at higher star hotels in the past and this one surpassed them all. This one was the definition of luxury.”

“The hotel was very clean, seemed new. Staff was very friendly. The hotel is walking distance to the river walk and Alamo. Great location and great price. We were concerned about the excessive amount of homeless people wondering around, but were assured there would not be a problem. They were only around during the day, and never once had a problem with them. Again, the hotel was great and we will definitely stay again next time!”

“This hotel was centrally located to local attractions. It had a nice room and a larger than normal sized bathroom. The maintenance service responded quickly when needed. The maid service however, did not bring towels when promised. I had to call back later on in the evening for towels. The pool was a nice size and a good temperature. I witnessed the night security guard walking around the parking lot and checking vehicles for passes. That was a comfort to me. There weren't enough tables to sit down for the continental breakfast. I was forced to go back to my room to eat. I would have liked to have seen some kind of shuttle service to Sea World or other attractions out of walking distance.”

“I've stayed in higher rated hotels that weren't this nice. The room decor was very refined, and the bed was fabulous. The location for San Antonio is great, we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go, and I appreciated the free parking at the hotel. One complaint is the breakfast selection is limited compared to other Hampton Inns I've stayed in, and they take it down promptly at 10:00, a bit early for us night owls! My only other complaint is the staff was slow to respond when I needed fresh linens (after a very late arrival, we slept in long past housekeeping had left), and failed to give me a parking pass upon registering, resulting in a notice on my windshield threatening to tow me. The staff was very friendly, though. I would definitely recommend this hotel.”
