• No refrigerator.

“We arrived at 4 pm (check in time) but we had to wait for an hour to get our rooms. The staff was not helpful, we had to call everyday to get fresh towels, no shampoo or soaps (you have to call), the lobby has no AC so it was very hot! The rooms are tiny. You don't get many channels on the TV and watch out when you rent a movie the fee is like $15 per movie or game. Not a good experience for us at all!”

• Bed was awesome.
• It was not actually on the Riverwalk like the name would suggest.

“The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in, furnishing were very nice. Continental breakfast included eggs and sausage. Not actually on the Riverwalk as the name would suggest, but it was a very short walk to get there.”

• I felt very at home in my room.
• I would've liked if it was a little closer to the Riverwalk. Not a bad distance.

• The staff was very helpful, and I loved how close it was to everything!
• Every time you put your cell phone next to the key cards it deactivates it.

“We took a little anniversary trip without our daughter, and it was one of the best times we have ever had together. We loved the location, because although it was not directly on the river walk, it was close enough to walk less than 5 minutes I would say to get the Rivercenter Mall. There were lots of bars down the street as well. It was not very hard to find, next to the Days Inn, across from Alamo parking, and off of I-35. But you couldnt hear much noise from the Interstate. The only draw back was our cardkeys kept deactivating and the staff told us it was because our cell phones were too close to the keys. Then our room door battery went out, but the staff was very prompt to fix it. Also, when we first arrived the air conditioner was accidentally off and we couldnt find out how to turn it on, but the staff responded very quickly and came to see the problem. Apparently the maid might have switched the reset button on the very bottom of it, but it worked after that. We were just so happy to have been there alone having so much fun, to worry about those little problems. It was a great hotel and a great trip. I recommend this hotel to friends and family.”

• Too expensive for a Hampton.

“Hotel located in an area not real pleasant to walking around after dark. The reason I chose this hotel was because all the other hotels around the area wanted anywhere from $20-$30 parking fee.”

• Close to all the attractions, room was clean, homey and the staff was nice.

“We had a great stay at the Hampton. The room was great, it had an iron and ironing board. The bathroom was clean and had a homey touch to it. Not a normal motel bathroom. We were in walking distance from the Alamo and other attractions in the area. Over all we had a very nice stay at the Hampton in San Antonio TX.”

• My room was perfect for rest and the work I needed to do!
• I wish there were some evening food alternatives in the hotel, such as a convenience center.

“I had a very safe and comfortable stay at Hampton inn River walk! The staff was incredibly kind, breakfast was great, the gym was super, the bed was very comfortable, and I would stay there again!”

• The staff was outstanding! The front desk was extremely helpful, especially with directions.
• Only one thing: there was a major black water spot on the ceiling in our room.

“I was interested in finding a hotel that was close to the areas that our family wanted to go and this hotel was it! I would recommend this hotel to my friends, my family and my co-workers!”

• It was very clean and nice. They had a very good breakfast buffet with many things to offer. It was in a good location.
• The gentleman checking us in was very rude and made us feel unwelcome. They are very disorganized.

“They are very disorganized. They put us in the wrong room. When I told them we wanted the right room, the gentleman at the front was very rude. It asked me if I had peed in the restroom or laid on the bed and messed it up. I told him I was only in the room for one second before I realized it was not my room. So very rude.”

• The toilet would not flush right and I think it was because the low water level it had.

“The hotel staff at the Hampton was incredibly friendly and courteous. From the desk clerks to the custodial and maintenance personnel, they always greeted us and went overboard to meet any needs we had. Far beyond the normal!”

• The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was something to look forward to.
• There was not anything I would change.

“This hotel is a jewel in the middle of downtown San Antonio. It is located within walking distance to the convention center and river walk. The beds were to die for and the rooms were sound proofed. The shower was excellent. The water was delicious. The bathroom was upscale and shiny clean. It felt brand new. The breakfast had a wide variety between fruits, cereals, pastries, muffins, and a warm food like French toast or biscuits and gravy that changed daily. I really enjoyed my stay at this Hampton. I have stayed at higher star hotels in the past and this one surpassed them all. This one was the definition of luxury.”
