“The lobby was great. The rooms were a bit old fashion but this was a historic hotel. My wife's first comment was I feel like I am on the Titanic. The service was excellent and the price was good.”

“Beautiful old hotel, but it's getting to be about time to replace some carpets, televisions, etc.”

“It is an historic hotel so expect tiny rooms. Ours had a queen bed, a small desk with chair, a chest with TV on top, 2 night stands, and one high back upholstered chair. Hair dryer in bathroom--bath tub and shower, one sink. Closet adequate, equipped with ironing board and iron. No spare space for anything like a sitting area, however. Our view was of the wall of another wing of the hotel about 20 feet away, though other rooms have exterior views. Everything modern, new beds, new decor, exterior spaces well decorated, good plasma TV with in-room movie selection and free HBO. Bellman, parking attendants prompt, friendly.”

“This is a good hotel for people who want to be walking distance from the River Walk for a good price. Fancy lobby/staff, but the rooms could use a face lift. In short, good hotel for the price.”

“Hotel was beautiful in a great location! Room was very clean, VERY comfortable bed, and hotel staff was quick to respond to our requests. Caution**IF you need two beds be careful when booking this hotel. Majority of hotel has King beds. I traveled with 2 adults and 2 children and we were put in a King room. Kids had to share a twin size rollaway bed as there were no rooms available with 2 beds even though I specified on my reservation that there were 4 of us to the room.”

“I was very disappointed with this hotel. When we arrived, the check in desk took forever.
I know the hotel prides itself on being historic but thats what it really is, historic. No more than 1 person fits in the bathroom, there was no hot water and the faucet was all rusty and moldy! Our room was small, no power outlets and the bed would shrink if you moved a finger. It was terrible. The valet took 30 minutes to get our car, but we were lucky because at least they didn't loose our keys like another guest in front of us.”

“St. Anthony surpassed my expectations. It was not only classy and elegant, it offered a very cozy king size bed (Sealy brand, good for the back). I like the environmentally friendly policy (wash towels every 3 days) and enjoyed the daily cookies they offered in the afternoon. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. I would go back to this hotel the next time I am in San Antonio.”

“The hotel was celebrating its 100th year and the lobby is gorgeous. It could use a bit of updating but was clean and comfortable. The park across the street attracted transits but the area toward the Riverwalk was safe. The staff was extremely helpful and professional.”

“The hotel is 100+ years old. We really liked the chandeliers in the lobby and the bed. The bathroom looks like it has original tiles.”

“When I asked about getting the double beds I was denied and the staff was very rude! I would really like my money back because I ended up getting another hotel. The hotel smelled and the bathroom you couldn't stand in there without the door closed. This was the worst place I have ever been. I am military and travel a lot.”
