• Evening security guard went out of his way to get us hot chow. Packets.
• I always think it is a cheep shot to charge extra for parking!

“It was beautiful, the help was extraordinary, and the beds were comfortable. There was a deaf Hispanic house keeper that couldn't communicate but went out of her way to help us while unloading our room. Breakfast was better than normal for a hotel; the breakfast bar seemed to close too early. But then maybe we got up late. We all had a great time; I felt it was good value for our money.doc.”

• It was walking distance to all the attractions, rooms were very spacious.
• Can't find a thing wrong.

• The location is great and you get a good tour on the river taxi.
• The hotel is in bad shape and the management is rude.

“We checked in but went down the River walk until that evening. When we returned and turned on the heat, it smoked and set off the smoke alarm. The hotel staff was rude and the maintenance man said it would happen, no matter what room went moved to. The supervisor on duty did not want to help us resolve the problem, told us the heat would always smoke, started yelling at me and then hung up on me. We are waiting to hear from Hawthorn Suites' customer care but most likely will not. We will not stay at this hotel again. Over priced, unadvertised $10 parking fee and hotel is in bad shape.”

• Staff very nice and friendly, hotel was beautiful.
• That it was not closer to the river center.

“Hotel is clean, friendly and beautiful. Staff very wonderful. It would be nice to have been closer to the river walk, it was about a 15 to 20 minute walk on the river walk path.”
