“The hotel was awful & scary, parking was terrible. The rooms were small and the carpet was gross, there weren't even pictures on the walls. There was a computer that had no Internet access so it was completely useless.”

“The walking distance to the river walk, tower restaurant were good but the parking garage unless you got there early people took up 2 spots and I broke my driver mirror trying to get in between the wall and a car straddling 2 spaces. No pool which was a disappointment for the girls. The room was OK, had a refrigerator and microwave which was helpful. The owners were very helpful in directing us to locations we had to drive too.”

“I canceled my reservation and stayed at a different hotel. I never made it to the room. After checking in, I had to wait on my room to be ready so I decided to find a different hotel. This hotel would be okay for a "VERY budget oriented" traveler, but I would not recommend this to most people. The area was a little questionable and I was nervous about walking in the neighborhood at night. Is it possible to get a refund on my credit card? The owner was nice, but the hotel was not for me. I paid the one night penalty of $110 plus tax. Let me know.”

“The people were very nice, and it was good to park under the awning. The slate floors will be great when they're finished. The room wasn't ready for us at 2pm. When we did get in at 4pm, they were still washing towels. The internet was advertised as high-speed, but it was, really, anything BUT high speed. Would have been great to have a coffee pot, but, as far as amenities, I did find shampoo and soap. They "upgraded" us to a king AND sofa bed, but we didn't know it would include years of smoke fumes. Honestly, I would stay here again (in a non-smoking room) if nothing else was open. It just wasn't as nice as other places I've stayed in town. For the price, for the rating, it was fine.”

“The parking was very tight. I have a compact vehicle and had to do a multi point turn to get it parked. All of the rooms were upstairs so anyone with any health problems would not be able to use the hotel. It was dirty from the office, to the hall, to the room. There was yards and yards of a hideous grey slate tile. They were uneven enough that we could not close the bathroom door. At some point this "hotel" had been used for a medical facility or some kind. They were still using the bed linens with the hospital name on them. There were still several door with name plates on them. Fortunately they did not have names in them. The vanity light fixture in our room had 3 different types of light bulbs in it and there was a hole in the ceiling that was supposed to be for an overhead light/vent. Under any other circumstance I would have checked out as soon as I got to the room. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS "HOTEL" TO ANYONE! Please consider removing it from your choices.”

“The room was clean and had a large TV, microwave and even had a computer. No pool. It's a little far from the River Walk, compared to other hotels. This was a drawback as we were there during the hottest days of summer.”

“There are certain standards that should be met when running a business that caters to the customer, this establishment was well beneath what I would consider to be decent. The manager was extremely rude, offensive and unprofessional, he does not know the first thing about what customer service is. The location is less than desirable, the room was not properly cleaned, our towels were dirty, the peephole was missing from the door so anyone walking by could look inside the room. The so-called and outdated "computer" in the room was missing the cup so all we had was the monitor, keyboard and mouse, so I can't even say that the Internet even worked. The hallway was hot, the security door did not close properly so anyone off the street could walk in, and the main office had a very bad odor. You decide between going to a hotel where the manager cares about customer, or a place where an unshaven guy behind the counter is happy to take your money but cares less about you or your needs.”

“There are certain standards that should be met when running a business that caters to the customer, this establishment was well beneath what I would consider to be a decent place to stay. The patron was extremely rude, offensive and unprofessional, he had no sense of what customer service is. The problems we had included such things as: the door was missing the peephole so anyone walking by could just look into the room, the so-called computer in the room didn't even have a cup, it was just the monitor, keyboard and mouse and the whole computer to begin with was very outdated. Our towels were dirty, the room was not cleaned properly, the location is less than desirable, and the main office had a bad odor. You decide between getting a decent hotel where the management cares about the customer or a place where the manager is just happy to take your money and care less about you and your concerns.”
