“My wife and I stayed there in 2006. We together, and separately, have stayed in resort, chain, and B&B style hotels. I search for the different, unique places to spend our time. I was pleasantly surprised at how this inn was. The room was cozy, personal, and decorated in a style of a time gone by. If you're looking for a non-standard, cookie cutter experience this is the place for you. Old world charm, a taste of the past in a world of same - same. Please give this inn a try.”

“I was not impressed with this hotel. We stayed in a king room that had an old undersized loveseat as addl seating. We ran out of toilet tissue during the 1st night. They provide a lighted make-up mirror because the room is so dark, but there's no place to set up the make-up mirror. You'd have to set it up on the bed & kneel on the sisal carpeted floor. At 1st we thought we didn't have any hot water. We managed to turn the difficult water faucet enough to get hot water, but the lever fell off & we couldn't get the water to turn off at all. The light bulbs were out on the two lamps on each side of the bed. The only light in the room was a ceiling fan light. If you wanted to read, you had to read in bed, as there was no comfortable chair to sit in. The computer table areas were in dark areas. There was no closet or chest of drawers to store clothing. We had to hang our clothes on a limited space wall hook. What extra mirrors there were in the room were made to look dark & antiqued so you couldn't use them for make-up, etc. The bathroom had no counter space for toiletries or hair dryer. The sink was very small & barely enough space for 2 toothbrushes. We had to hang the hair dryer on the towel hook at the sink. There was no bath mat & only 2 bath towels provided. We had to share a towel & use the other towel as a bath mat. There was no coffee maker in the room. We found out later that there was a coffee pot in the Lobby for guests. There was no info in the room to let you know about the coffee available downstairs. In my opinion, this hotel is just one step above a Hostel. At least you have your own small room to yourself. If you like dreary, dark rooms that are equipped like & look like they're out of the Depression Era.”
